0) You need to break her buffs after she ascends otherwise you're fucked
1) First NP after ascension is full buffed - there is no surviving it except for using CE
2) You will eat ~7k NP no matter what which also wipes all your buffs
3) There are regular attacks 1.5k each
4) She stacks critical buffs
5) There are random charms stuns and np drains and other debuffs
So basically, you need to:
1) be able to survive NP and heal back up afterwards reliably
2) not die to regular attacks and random criticals
It is possible to nerf her NP attack to 0 with nightingale and whatnot but you wouldnt be able to sustain normal attacks in composition like that so thats off the table
Thus you need to focus on sustaining through regular attacks
Going full-heal makes it easier to deal with NP hits
Going defence helps with normal attacks - her attacks arent very strong per unit so damage cut helps a lot
You could also try nerfing her attack and breaking her debuffs, which works but its not reliable enough to run fully on this and some heal because attack nerf potential is limited
Cheapest stall team i can think of which should be reliable enough is Mashu - Medea - Medea Lily. Medea keeps Kiara mostly debuffed and not dangerous, Medea Lily keeps HP high, Mashu mostly counters normal attacks.
The higher your HP pool the better. So Ideal King and grailed witches basically if you have them.
Defence CE would help quite a bit i imagine.
Depending on available servants you just need to play a fight couple times see what works best.
Its also possible to run 2 sets of servants if you use dodge or invincibility CE on your frontline so they can survive initial wipe. Though its probably not very effective idea with cost limitations and stuff. Better just make sure your sub party is 100% prepared.

I wonder if anyone actually was able to clear with miserable CE's that guaranteed survival of the frontline.
A trivial discovery I found: Curse, burn, and whatnot can't trigger overgauge.

Oh, that. Are curse, burn and bleed considered as 'self-damage' for the most parts because it's a debuff trigger? I mean, there's no 'X Servant did Y damage' when it comes to these damaging debuffs. It just treats it as 'Y damage dealt'. Overkill gauge don't trigger because of that, right?

I can't fully comprehend the reason why they can't cause Break either. Unless DW purposely made it so that Break-sufficient damage has to occur on the player's turn rather than the enemy's turn otherwise the target is left with 1 HP. So far, every Break-able target has had some actions that they'd do and (this is my assumption) if the target wasn't treated as in Break state in the beginning of the battle, what happens is that they can't enter Break state to prevent a possible exploit where Break effect could not trigger... or something like that. I;m honestly still not sure why they code it that way.

I feel that it's actually working as intended.
The same way our servants don't die of the curse/burn/poison and the end of wave / battle.
Also servants usually use a skill after the Break, so it wouldn't work if the Break occurs after their turn.

I think you're on the money for that point. I can imagine people using OTK combo to burn the enemy down with the curse, trigger Break at the end of their turn and then curb-stomp the boss hard without the boss ever doing anything post-Break except the Break triggers. Plus it adds to the stakes.

Which are the most important debuffs to buy against Kiara if you want to take it easy against her but don't have enough points to buy them all?
