Unless this is one of those unforeseen game bugs where getting a temp servant causes the game to forget you have the perma one

There is a recommended support set up from the Reddit guide for the NA event, but that one is based on the servants from NA, so it is ''outdated'' for the rerun

I'm testing out some different 3-turn clears with her in the Boar node (for bond farming), and thought about using either of those CEs as a way to generate stars for the final turn so that Raikou (Lancer) or Altera the San(Ta) could use.

Probably not a smart idea.

So according to kazemai some servants use a different np gain stat for certain cards

Nightingale's np gain rate is 0.77, but on her Quick (which is 6 hits which is the highest hit count for quick cards) is 0.5
The other servants with 6 hits on their quicks are Helena and Drake and they have 0.45 and 0.42 np gain on their cards.

And the two single target arts NPs with the highest hit counts also use lower numbers for their NPs.
Hundred Face Hassan's np gain rate is 0.48. NP hits 13 times and uses 0.38 instead.
Emiya (Assassin) 0.46 . NP hits 15 times and uses 0.28 instead.

They probably thought that it would be broken that his NP used normal NP gain values with that amount of hits, so they decided to balance it so his NP gain is normal for his NP. As a result, it also made his NP gain terrible for the rest of his cards, because balancing NP gain according to the hits in an NP will never end well (though if you're not careful you can end up like Archer Artoria I guess).

Frankly, I don't get the decisions they make to balance NP gain in some Servants. It's to the point that sometimes I wonder if a Servant ended up having a good or bad NP gain by pure accident, and not because they designed it to be this way. I mean, for example Ereshkigal's NP gain is just weird, all of her cards except her Arts card have bad NP gain, so I assume that her Mana Burst giving her a free charge was to circumvent that problem since only one card to fill the gauge is very unreliable and slow (and TC and her third skill to also compensate for that)... but then she crits with her Arts and goes from 0% to 100%, which in the end makes her NP gain incredibly good albeit inconsistent, and her skills and stats end up letting her spam her NP instead of helping her consistently use her NP to get that attack up, the latter being IMO what they probably aimed for since both her third skill and her second skill have the same cooldown.

Of course it's probably just me and they made it that way on purpose. It does help in making some Servants feel different from others sometimes, that's for sure.

Would a lvl 100 HF be better, or at least match, lvl 40 Black Grail?

Just see which results in a bigger number: (Servant Attack + Four Bonus + 2000) * (1.5 + any sources of NP Power Up) versus (Servant Attack + Four Bonus + level 40 BG Attack) * (1.6 + any sources of NP Power Up).

I'd guess that the damage difference is pretty small.
