Holmes states as a comparison that the specific stretch of Goetia's plan that the protagonists foiled didn't even entail a final turnout whereby the planet itself is completely annihilated, and it already took roughly 3000 years to prepare for. Under normal circumstances, in the face of an active Counter Force, it would presumably take significantly more preparation than "3000 years of incinerating the Human Domain" to actually bypass the planet's existential protections.
The planet of the Shinjuku timeline has no such protections. This permits Moriarty to do as he pleases.

If only Dartz is still here...
Something
Enkidus Enuma Elish is simply utilizing the 'planet' to guard against Anti-World Noble Phantasms, though.
What would've happened had he not used that to protect against Gils EA? Would the CF just take action so the planet could take the hit but take major damage as opposed to completely negating the attack like Enkidu did?
It's weird though, Goetias plan utilized more energy than what the planet itself would be capable of as that was the entire idea behind it. The protective measures seem to hit outside of it's own ballpark.
Well I got the rough implications of that then. Just busting a planet sized body of rock is a whole lot easier.
The amount of energy consumed in protective measures might not be equivalent to the amount of energy required to overcome said measures. As an example, a "perfectly normal" planet-destroying threat restricted to a single set of timelines (as in, not like Goetia) could be dealt with simply by culling all of the timelines whereby the seeds are planted for such a threat to come into existence. Getting rid of said timelines doesn't expend any resources at all; in fact, within the multi-timeline context of the Tree of Time, the culling would grant a net gain of resources.
Nobody said that wasn't his plan
You were asking about his Noble Phantasm though
Think of his NP as calculating where to put the demolition charges to blow up the planet, but you can't do that with guns and bombs so obviously blowing up the planet is impossible and you get his anti-army NP in the game
But then what if you stole someone's powers and rigged up a system to make a big space rock hit the earth in juuust the right spot?
Or something, I haven't actually played past the first battle yet so I dunno.

Machines do not lose their worth when a newer model appears.
Their worth (life) ends when humans can no longer bear that purity.
That and what Da Vinci said before actually are 2 different things if you think about it.
Statement 1: Even if you release full power of a top servant's NP, still won't make it and even anti-planet NP won't be enough.
Statement 2: Many protections also prevent the planet from being destroyed in the first place.
The first one is more about not having enough firepower to actually do it as a servant.
The second one is more about "ok you got enough firepower? not gonna do it son CF and other restrictions will stop you."
So assuming Gudao and Co didn't Reyshift into that singularity and Moriarty's plan succeeded.
At the end of the day, Moriarty would blow up that earth, but nothing would actually happen with the real earth.
Is this it? Sorry if i misunderstood
