Was Yagyu not a zombie or something? He spurted blood when Musashi beat him instead of shattering with a white flash of light. Also I asked this before, but is there a way to tell zombies apart from normal people/Servants? They don't seem to always bloody eyes and such.

Yagyu, Musashi and Kojiro seems to be human. Yagyu is powered by the curse but not turned into a zombie, so he dies as usual. There are many guesses on Hozoin's defeat, but since the thing is in his POV, I will take it as Yagyu beat him using 无刀取，giving him the mistaken feeling that his spear has pierced the guy which is enough for Yagyu to disarm him.
After knowing normal Amakusa for so long, reading Satanic Amakusa's lines was really hilarious since it's so out of character
Basically, it's me experiencing Samurai Spirits Amakusa for the first time via GBF.
Its much more the general depiction of him in Japanese fiction, or just Samurai Spirits Amakusa. Brings back old memories.
Unfortunately, save for the Fate one, Amakusa is generally depicted as cartoonishly villainous as main universe Castlevania's Dracula and other older versions of Dracula.
Samurai Spirit's Amakusa is so over the top he becomes memorable. The laughter is part of my childhood, as well as Haohmaru's hard slash which can clear the game easy when used at the right timing.
Didn't one of the SS games have Amakusa's story mode be him fighting his darker half?

It's specially sily to talk about Ramesses, the master of propaganda himself, in that example.
Not as silly as making such a broad, sweeping statement as to claim that no ruler in history has ever been nice.
We're not saying they're not capable of acts of kindness.
Just that, on the whole, successful rulers have generally gravitated to 'pragmatically ruthless' over other things.
