I do hope they treat the new servants carefully. By that i mean i hope they don’t just make every servant only have the slightest bit of similarity to their legend. I know they tend to take a few parts of their legend and run with it already, but this alt history stuff feel like a good excuse to go even farther and just make things up entirely and just say because different history.

Agreed. One of the charms of Fate is how much research and work goes into the Servants. Even when they do something unusual with them, you can almost always find a good explanation with a bit of lore diving.

Maybe trying to put the research servants in what if universe? Some are already guessing that the master that seem to be in charge of China singularity is Consort Yu of Xiang Yu since her name 芥雏子 can be arranged into 雏芥子 which is another name for the flower named after her. The rider she insist on summoning can be Xiang Yu and her unwillingness to go with medical checkup is fearing her identity will be exposed.

Thinking back on the Lostroom specials ending scene, I have to wonder, not who was the guy who took the ring, but why only take one ring? If he took all of it I would have understood, with them all your basically game breaking flat, with able to take control of all magecraft, but one ring, what is one ring gonna do? What's the purpose behind that?

I mean, Romani's one ring was crucial because it allowed him to use Are Nova, but even with his ring he didn't have any special powers as a human. Thus I'm curious on what's purpose the ring would serve.
