Depends on which ver. of the myth is used. But seeing how Jason and Perseus is, I'm pretty pessimistic about the characterization.

The only versions that demonize Odysseus are Roman sources because they blamed him of Troy's fall by dishonorable trickery, missing the whole point of the original.

Even if she might potentially a Beast candidate, that doesn't mean she's always Beast or can't be a king in some ridiculous lostbelt of sort. Point is, don't rule out things just becuz you think it won't happen.

Medea avoided outright killing people IIRC.

Servants wouldn't usually feed because it's not super effective and it takes way too many non-mages to get reasonable energy (which is why Shinji went for Bloodfort). Perseus is incarnated and doesn't need as much mana so it's fine for him.

Yeah but all Greek heroes do stuff like that, and we should not talk about Irish heroes who do worse. Also even the Nasuverse version of Circe is said to be a witch of temptation with a tendency to fall in love and become deeply jealous, so I don't think her PoV of the affair is very objective.

BB helps in getting people out. She is playing trickster mentor here and like Lips says: Playing the role of mother too late and at the wrong timing even.

This is starting to sound like some projection of personal preferences on to TM because I didn't find Columbus terribly likeable and didn't get the impression I was supposed to

he's totally not likeable

which is great because we now get somebody who 's just plain bad guy, even in our side
at least for me
even his interlude paint him in a slightly good manner, only to show in the end that looking from another view its just as bad
