I mean, it's called Pioneer of the Stars (or Settler of the Stars in Extra, if memory serves). If it's a skill you could get just by inventing stuff, why doesn't Edison have it? Or, idk, Archimedes?

It's not a skill about inventing anything. It's a skill that denotes overcoming some big problem that prevented human civilization from advancing. Tesla literally brought the domain of the gods (lightning) to humanity. He's probably one of the most applicable for the skill. Drake's is weird because she wasn't the first to circumnavigate the world, but according to her interlude it's about solving that problem with existing resources (with no regards to your mystery rank) and then have that solution spread across humanity to become sort of integrated into the "common sense of man", so even though she wasn't the first, it was probably more that what she did was what spread to the rest of humanity and that's why she got it instead.

Well, Magellan died 3/4ths of the journey in, so he couldn't really get the 'prize' for circumnavigating the globe.

Elcano? Nah, he doesn't deserve it. Not only did he take charge for just the last leg of the trip, it was the part that was already well navigated by European explorers. Nothing new, objectively speaking.

Subjectively speaking though , I'd love to see Enrique of Malacca as a Servant, even if it will never happen.

No, what? He's well past the 1900~ cut-off for heroes recorded in the Throne and the only place we know he was summoned was the Moon Cell, which summons Servants using its own records anyway.

IIRC the latest in Extella Link spoilers was something something art graphs something something a blue particle or other, apparently the Moon Cell can summon Servants from the Throne. I don't think anything has retconned the fact that it also has its own records that it can summon from.
