Was it ever mentioned if there were still animals running around in the lostbelt post Surtur fucking everything up? I'm pretty sure the human villages had farms of some sort to keep themselves fed, but with the whole basis of the lostbelt being that there aren't enough resources around to maintain ethical living standards, I wouldn't be surprised if humans were the only sufficiently nutritious food source for giants.
Like, most of the enemies in the chapter were giant variants, Walkure, and some sort of ice monster. There was more variety in enemy type during Guda's dream sequence in prison, but those enemies weren't actually present in the lostbelt.
Yeah, there is mention there aren't any besides the ones keep in the village's farms and the two ravens we always see on the sky. That's why Gerda is surprise to see Fou and doesn't know if he is a dog, a cat or even a horse that she only hear of in tales (I remember the horse part because Fou's reaction was hilarious). Also, there aren't even trees, the ones you see on the background images are all made of ice

I suspect Beryl's will be the absolute worst one of them all given what we know of him.
Unless Nasu pulls a bait and switch where he's not really a terrible guy or something.

Well, if it's really Tez and we have human sacrifices...
Hopefully Quetz comes with us. And sticks to the end.
Half-expecting Daybit's to be something of a Lost World reference, but going a step further and there are scalies living in it as opposed to LB1's furries.
I know a friend of mine who'd be hella down for a 'Belt full of lizardfolk.
My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
