the reason we also beat scadi is because ontop of the support we are receiving to beat Surt, she had to maintain the icesnow to holdback Surt's bloodfire from expanding, healing the land, healing the people, protecting the land, the last three she had been doing continously for 3000 years bla bla bla, all adds up that the magic energy she has for fighting the Chaldeans is trifling.

P much all event in Anastasia is properly foreshadowed and everyone there has their use. Like, everythingjust fits nicely.
In Gotterdamerung, most of the time it actually felt awkward. Like, somepart couldve been better foreshadowed, some part could have been made longer so we can chew on it more thoroughly. The more offending example for me is how Napoleon's sacrifice doesnt excite a response from me, simply because in the overall narration Napoleon wasnt written well enough for me to care about him, and his sacrifice is kinda out of nowhere. Another example is how Surt and Scadi's lost is too fastly written with not enough narrative preparation, unlike with Anastasia and particularyl Ivan where we get hammered again and again of how much a bitch an effort it is to finally beat them.
The part where I genuinely went gaga is probably only when Sigurd and Bryn's dialogue with each other, its totally wholesome.
if this keeps on i may have to start sharing Altaris' sentiment
although on the other hand, Ophelia's background is written more meaningfully then Kadoc's. Or maybe Kadoc's just have a boring past, iunno.
Lastly, there is this one blurb that i think is left unexplained. Who was it that strengthen the kekkais in the villages and proclaim him/herself as a Chaldean? It never really got addressed afterwards. Or did i just missed it?

Wait, Canaan flopped? How the heck is it that Bee Train's "girls with guns" anime can get two sequels despite being roughly as exciting as a tepid bowl of oatmeal and yet Canaan which is the same genre yet actually good is considered a flop? Truly, there is no justice in the world...(That reminds me, I really need to finish Canaan sometime. Watched a few episodes and it was totally my jam but then I got distracted by other things...)
