Taking everything: Taking the place as the new Fefnir
The Volsunga Saga came out in the 13th century, which is around the same time glasses were first invented. So it's not as implausible as you might think.

That's when the Saga was written, but Sigurd would have lived in the Age of Gods since there were dwarves, dragons, and of course Odin running about in his life.
I don't remember if Sigurd's role in Ragnarok was in the Saga or only in Wagner's operas, but if the latter, then the Lostbelt says that Ragnarok was 3,000 years ago so that'd be about when Sigurd was alive.
Wiki has the first mentions of his story being from the 10th century so he got glasses about 2-3 centuries early.
I wonder if Sieg having Siegfried's heart in him qualified him for "taking everything".

Heroic Spirits are based on legend, so having something that existed when their story was written but not when they supposedly lived is nothing strange. It's the same with how King Arthur is an originally Celtic legend, yet her portrayal as a Servant (not least being the plate armor) is clearly based on the later medieval epics. Besides, applying real world chronology and standards of technological development to the Age of Gods is kind of pointless, since it's by definition beyond human knowledge. If people in those days had glasses, or some techno-magic equivalent of glasses, we'd have no way of knowing. (Just like Mespotamia in Gil's time apparently had magic planes and submarines)

Profiles sometimes have a particular way of phasing what's being said. In this instance it should mean that glasses weren't a thing in his experience when he was alive, period.

Fate Arturia actually historically existed the way she is as a Servant and that's not an effects of legends thing. Remember she was alive in FSN, not on the Throne.

It still shows that Age of Gods is a clusterfuck that doesn't at all have to match up to our RL conception of history.
Sigurd also mentioned that overwhelming greed and malice is enough to turn one into Fefnir, which is what he sees Surt is. Surt even grew unseen dragon wings in the end.
Well, the end result is he is now a Fafnir so.

Also, for the little that we know of Odin, it is nice to see he manage to maintain his image as a sage and king in Nasuverse. What he has done in Lostbelt 2:
Took Scatha whom he has formed a connection with and mixed her into Skadi to ensure her survival since Surt cannot detect her thanks to components from Scatha.
Gave Skadi all his Primal Runes so she can ensure the survival of the land even after the rampage caused by Surt. Seeing how Skadi managed to do so for 3000 years, he picked the right person.
Sealed Surt up in the sun at the cost of his life
Allow his familiars to guide the Chaldea crew which eventually led to the completion of Ragnarok and the end of the Lostbelt.
