But I appreciate it more also because back in the old days there is no Katakana to transliterate foreign names, so they had to go the China's way of using Kanjis with similar sounding as the original word (thanks Susato-chan from Daigyakuten Saiban). For example "Mozart" would be written as 莫扎特 and you pronounce it as 莫 (Mo) 扎 (Zasu) 特 (to). Ibaraki being from that old era using that type of pronunciation is pretty nice touch.
