I was hoping for people like Zhang Sanfeng and Bodhidharma famous for martial arts myth, representing Wu Dang and Shalin respectively to appear, so Li was a pretty good surprise when he debut in Extra.

Anyway regarding Tomoe all it actually has to mean is that she was superhuman. But it could also mean more.

Might have been some relevant detail during her character arc of the story but I don't remember right now.

I do recall reading somewhere Tomoe may have been descended from an obscure river god, but I'm not sure if that relates to Oni.
