My opinion is that most people that hated the interlude were the Karna fans that to this day believe a guy without a single victory can't be beaten

Which is wrong and baseless. I can call myself a Karna fan and the only thing that annoyed me is how none of the enemies Cu fought in that interlude except Herc did anything that could be called "putting up a good fight". Generic clashing, some NP here and there, SABER ALTER DID NOT EVEN USE EXCALIBUR MORGAN, HERC DID NOT EVEN USE NINE LIVES OUTSIDE OF GAMEPLAY. Even the gameplay battles are piss easy with the Herc fight being the most challenging cuz he has 3 guts. I even gave the benefit of the doubt that these are Masterless servants who already been staying in this singularity for quite some time and ofc nowhere near peak condition without a Master, but there is no excuse for not letting them use their NPs in the story segment considering Saber Alter be like TASTE MY HOLY SWODO ULSTER WARRIOR!.

And yes the Karna fight is fine by me, because there was no specification that he has his armor or not, as well as him being surprised by the chariot Cu tossed at him then took the chance to stab. Also he only used Brahmastra. From my impression he is just there to reflect on how Cu Alter fought and a comparison to his way of living as Berserker, because right after that fight Cu Alter said Karna really knew him well.

It's not ridiculous to generally think fight scenes involving Cu Alter are bad because he is is bad.
It is ridiculous to talk as if this interlude in particular is badly written when you haven't read it at all.

I never said it is badly written. I said that it has Cu the Edge boss-rushing through three top Servants because Higashide can't write an epic battle otherwise.
Which is IMO possibly the worst negative trait one can have as a writer of something Fate-related.

i didnt address the part you dislike about it, because i agree with it. They could pick the enemies better / structure the enemy compo better.

Nah it's definitely because CA is a shit character and his interlude are just boring

I'm a Karna fan and i really don't care if he loses because that's par for the course since Nasu no longer writes him and Higashide will always uses him as a punching bag for other character (see Apocrypha, America, Rama's Interlude, etc ...) and that's basically his role ever since his creation - to be a strong midboss that other character overcome.

Not likely. The most likely result of F/SF finishing is writers going "Oh, now we know all we need to know to use Narita's OCDonutSteelEdgelord!Herk so who needs the Original one?

Tbh honest I do see little reason for them to do proper Archer Herk now, since if they did it would basically just be a mix of Berserker Herc, and Alcides. For all of Alcides faults he is a more original take on Herk as an Archer then just some changes you would expect from a class change.

oh and talking about Cu Alter I do like him, his personality is quite simple but the idea of a Kaiju raging Cu as a badass is still very appealing definitely when you consider him being more similar to myth Cu then the Lancer was.

of course he’s no replacement for a proper badass Cu, whether as a proper Berserker, in possession of his castle NP, or if I can let my fantasies fly a mix of both.
