Heck, at least the reason why Yorimitsu was female was something I could swallow even if I didn't like it, but this reason looks like a "We were too lazy to think of a good reason for this obvious pandering so here you have some tits from another world" to me.

But yeah, let's keep turning all heroic spirits that are male into female because we can only enjoy a good narrative if we have fanservice. I'm sure that's the reason we all became fans of the Fate series.

Wel... I mean, I went into it because I thought King Arthur vs. Beowulf was an awesome premise, but my favourite thing about it was Shirou's and Archer's character arcs in "UBW".

I mean, setting aside the gender thing the "from another world" bit and her being a Slider seems less like a stupid excuse and more like the one part of this whole ordeal that's going to be relevant to the plot of FGO season 2. Using it to introduce worldine pruning smells like a setup.

Well, I do hope you're right, that's for sure. I want to like her honestly, but I can't after her trial quest and hearing her complain about Ushi being genderbend. Hopefully setup is so good that it will make me stop disliking her.

And that's perfectly fine. I apologize if it sounded like it's not okay to like the Fate series for this reason. It's just that the fanservice is not the only reason the Fate series is good, and that pandering they did with Musashi rubbed me the wrong way with that flimsy reason for being different, which hopefully ends up setting something good. There was better ways to write her story than the current one we're being given.
