Lancer Alter isn't from grail mud but represents the aspect of Arturia as a leader of a mythological army of spirits called The Wild Hunt. In spite of having her spear she also holds onto her humanity.
Speculation but I'd say her history is that she neither went to avalon nor became the Goddess Rhon, so she died and became a leader of the Wild Hunt.

So basically not really good, because in Diarmuid Lancer case only his dodge skill is good, as Knightly Tactics is just Clairvoyance in terms of effects which doesn't work on him, and Love Spot is not really useful unless that skill lasts more than one turn, but DW seems to love giving debuffs one turn duration sometimes for some weird reason.
