Caster Gilles obtained the Grail not long after he was summoned.
His wish for it was to resurrect Jeanne, but the Grail couldn't do that, to his chagrin.
So he used the Grail to make one instead. So yeah of course "Jeanne Alter" (who is not a Ruler blackened by the Grail mud or anything) is not going to be consistent with the real Jeanne.
It's why she lacks various memories, for example.
In summary, Jeanne Alter is just Gilles's wet dream. He couldn't accept the fact that Jeanne is okay with her fate eventhough he knew that she would be, so he made an image of her via the grail.

Although it cannot be said that he is a humane good person, he is loyal to his lord's orders; he won't betray someone he has recognized as a lord no matter what sort of numerical inferiority befalls, and will silently obey even somewhat unreasonable orders. Also, he treats killing as merely an assignment, duty and does not feel any grief or pleasure from it.
One cannot judge people by their appearances.
Upon talking, one can understand he is a character that prizes the principle of things, who approves social order.
Putting aside the abilities as a Heroic Spirit, as someone who serves others he is without question first-rate.

Originally, Lord El-Melloi II was not someone possessing the caliber and the history that would result in a Servant.
However, the extremely unique circumstances of this Holy Grail War got involved and his summoning was made possible by becoming the vessel of the Heroic Spirit of China Zhuge Liang.
Zhuge Liang is widely known an excellent statesman, tactician from the Three Kingdoms Period of China, and it has been said that his strength played a great part in making possible for the small state of Shu to oppose the longstanding major power of Wei.
Strictly speaking, this Servant is neither El-Melloi II or Zhuge Liang. The powers of both parties has mingled together, so abilities that cannot be found in the original Servant are being displayed. Also, thoughts and emotions conform with those of the vessel, El-Melloi II.
Pseudo-Servant*... an Heroic Spirit, that for some reason cannot become a Servant, is summoned to this world by making a human body its vessel. Other than Lord El-Melloi II, multiple pseudo-Servants have been confirmed

Huh, I never expected Robin to be evil and factual, or was the factual one evil and later stories were just propaganda for the noble thief? Then again, he was listed as neutral good in Extra. Ah, so Carmilla is to Eliza, what EMIYA is to Shirou.

They are both Robin Hood, this was in Extra already; its similar to how there's a whole bunch of Hassan-i-sabbah's, there's also a whole bunch of Robin Hood's.

he has a stated reason for the coloe change, and i kinda doubt Eliza overused projection magic.
Haha, guess they messed up Robin's alignment. It says Chaotic Evil but we know from elsewhere that it's Neutral Good, and that's in fact what it's actually recorded in the game's trait list. If you try to use Sanson's Anti-Evil skill on Robin it won't work.
Maybe they mixed it up and some chaotic evil character is now neutral good
