Shinkai: Set in the Edo period. DHO-centric. As mysterious figures gather in the city, a young woman unearths the dark secrets of the Asakami family.
The Dollkeeper: A Fate side-story. The memoirs of the last tuner of the Einzberns. A record of the end of a family.
Overcount 2030: Extra x Notes. A girl with no memories is found by a nameless soldier, and wakes up to a world of war.
I think this would be too hard to properly balance if it made it into mechanics, and it would basically shoehorn some characters idea into races (like, a physical fighter would probably always be more mechanical for the stat points).

I'm adding a small change, though it shouldn't affect your character creation at all.
Basically the way I originally had it was that once your attributes were set, they were set, forever. However, we decided on adding a growth system, based on your Crest: For every 500 Crest EXP you gain (gained by consuming other Crests), you get 20 additional points to distribute to your stats.

Oh yeah I wanted to ask, I couldn't find anything on it in the rulebook so sorry if I missed it: What happens if a limb gets cut off?
Like if your left arm gets cut off, do you permanently lose the Strains in it? Or is it that it gets afflicted again when/if it regenerates?
