T'was quite nice; i like this Marie-boom we're seeing.
Fine work capturing the essence of Marie, Arashi. The details and word choice vibed with me pretty well.

In the meantime, Marie captured Gudao's essence.

My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
Ah dear me, where do I start with this one.
You present an interesting scenario for Grand Order, and certainly, taking this as a little expression of passion in the midst of a larger conflict puts things in a rather dramatic light. (Ignoring Grand Order itself, but that's a different opinion.)
Next, the events. That was a well-placed reference, and it hit home almost as well as Gudao's ability to pick up on it. Gudao's hesitance wasn't diffidence, but simply that he's not as good at this game as Marie is.
Ah, and yes, how good Marie is. It's nearly been three hundred years since she lost her head, and she's still able to make a man lose his. I sense that you extrapolated her lascivious traits from the film. Simultaneously, she exhibits that wistful allure that the GO character does. Not quite guile, yet it's not something entirely innocent. That's a rare trait among TM females.
The tone of it all was excellent as well. The moment started smoothly, and faded out just the same. It was something transient that left a lasting impression.
And on the conclusion: coincidence does not exist in fiction. If Mashu had echoed Marie's line with the same intent—
A worse possibility.
—she'd have to have been watching.

I still have no idea how she's a Servant (let alone how she qualifies for Rider) but nice.
I think when she first went to Paris she came in a glass chariot.

Otherwise it was some parade thing.
Edit: found it, it was her wedding

Lovely fic. The male first-person perspective was, uh, very convincing. I felt like I was him for a moment there, a strange but good experience.
Probably because she was known for having attempted to flee Paris and because she was carted to the guillotine in front of everyone. Since they push the whole idol-of-her-time thing and the Japanese title for her NP, it's just capitalizing on her presence above the mass populace.
Localizationing stuff
