The other agents were good. I don't know if that's an unpopular opinion or not but I don't care, I liked them.
A step back for me was the alien obsession that took over towards the end. I know it's the overarching plot but X-Files was best when they dealt with various phenomena, not just aliens.
I thought the alien conspiracy was fine for its time. Well, still interested IRL conspiracy stories now. Haven't found any coherent story yet though.
As for various bottle shows they were entirely a mixed bag. Some were naff and some were awesome.

Well I pretty much marathoned it over two days, so that was the Man in the High Castle I guess.
General recommendation: not a bad use of time. It's strong points are a few really good character performance, and managing to set up a convincingly paranoid, repressive atmosphere for daily life in fascist America. Weak points are a somewhat meandering plot with side character digressions that may or may not be appreciated, and if you really like all the mysteries to get tied up it'll annoy the living daylights out of you. Hopefully it'll get a second season, because if it gets left on its own it'll be somewhat awkward.
I don't like marathoning TV, I like to spread it out, but I'll try to watch MitHC when I've got time.

still watching Heroes, season 1 to 4, some ability of character is great, I dreamed having the same, hum, just kidding
