Current Code is best. You can tell Nasu really put a lot of effort into the scripts and all.

I was going to say AACC, but for some reason I remember myself having more fun in AC, even if this isn't true.
Maybe if AACC still had those fun mods AC had, I wouldn't hesitate at all.

Democracy on Beast's Lair
OG Melty and ReAct/ReAct Final Tuned are awful as fighting games. They pretty much have all their value in the story mode. Cadenza is the first one that's actually a fighting game you can play with another person and have fun, has quite a few mechanics that weren't in the previous games, a handful of new characters, balance changes ofc, overall it plays like you took the fighting game from the previous ones and made it actually good. Not much different from them, just improved a lot.
AA and AACC change it a lot, biggest change probably being the moon styles and the guard bar on top of another handful of new character. AA and AACC don't feel like they really play like Cadenza to me at all.
Btw AACC is the best.
In retrospect Re-Act although I had more fun with Cadenza & AA.
