I'd be down for another exchange.
Honestly I'd rather it be themeless (more variety) but I'm not against themed; I skipped the lemon one because lol but character pairings sounds good to me.

Alright. Thoughts on pairing-based then? Where we either have:
A) Prompts as usual, centered about the pairing, or
B) Prompts that consist only of a pairing (ex: "Touko/Shiki", "EMIYA/Artoria", "Ciel/Akiha"), and the authors are free to do with their pairing whatever they wish, be they make it romance-based or shippy, or a fight scene of the two, or just an exploration of their relationship, et cetera?
Linger: Complete. August, 1995. I met him. A branch off Part 3. Mikiya keeps his promise to meet Azaka, and meets again with that mysterious girl he once found in the rain.
Shinkai: Set in the Edo period. DHO-centric. As mysterious figures gather in the city, a young woman unearths the dark secrets of the Asakami family.
The Dollkeeper: A Fate side-story. The memoirs of the last tuner of the Einzberns. A record of the end of a family.
Overcount 2030: Extra x Notes. A girl with no memories is found by a nameless soldier, and wakes up to a world of war.
B) I think runs the risk of too many prompters not enjoying what they get, which would sorta suck. And I'm not sure if this is the same for others on here - I know it tends to be the consensus for exchanges I've done elsewhere - but really minimal prompts actually tend to cause more writing paralysis than a good few lines do. You want a spark that sets you on your way, not a blank sheet of paper to stare at for a month.

I'm in agreement on that.

imo, the fun in an exchange like this is taking someone's idea and turning it into something. Simply being given "character x/character y" would be kind of dull, especially if it was a fairly standard pairing.
So my vote is option A.
Uhh sure, but this is normally for requesting something you wouldn't usually get specifically tailored for you.

how is that related to anything I said
If anything it just adds to my point: if you want something tailored to you, specific prompts are obviously better than 'write a rin/archer story"
I'm fine with a romance-focused exchange as long as I can write very unhealthy relationships and not get disqualified.
I'm definitely interested in more exchanges. I don't mind the idea of a themed exchange, but I'll probably bow out of anything involving citrus or romance. Pairings could be fine, depending on how the pool goes.

I'd prefer A), myself.
See, I'm not actually sure how much I wanna do pools for this time around, though I'm not entirely against it.
Last time for lemon contest, pools were because lemons and their content are already more of a sensitive thing than just regular fics, hence wanting to give people more choices so they're not stuck with something they're entirely against writing. On the other hand, I'm not sure if it sort of bloats up the contest and is too much, and given that this exchange wouldn't be lemon-focused, I'm not sure how much of a need there needs to be for pools.

Well to me, being stuck writing a pairing I can't stand is just as bad as if not worse than being forced to write some fetishes I despise.
When you say it like that, it actually sounds like a fun challenge. I think all the prompts should be full of Jeanne x Sieg, Nero x Gawain, Shinji x Shirou, Mash x Lancelot, etc.
I think pools are unnecessary tbh. It's just added bloat.
I understand its use for the lemon contest, but for something like this I feel like people should suck it up and work with what they got. If there's really a type of prompt that you are against writing you can just specify that in your contest entry.
