Dhelmise is a pain to catch, lower catch rate than most, so quick balls rarely work, plus it's a ghost type so false swipe doesn't work normally

I had to bring out a fucking lv13 lillipup so I could odor sleuth it for false swipe.

I swear beldum was easier to catch despite having a much lower catch rate

I finally managed to get to 50 wins in the Battle Tree Super Singles. I forgot to scout that trainer, which is a shame, but hopefully I'll get another shot at it soon.

Speaking of scouting going to attempt Super Multi now. I've scouted Kiawe and I think his team composition is working well for me. Mine starts out with Talonflame holding a Sitrus Berry, which allows me to spam Earthquake and if that goes down he's got Mega-Kangaskhan, which can do some work, but generally feels a bit lackluster. Also scouted a Veteran with Articuno, but that was a bit of a let down, Talonflame seems to cover my weaknesses better, also it's holding an Icy Stone, so that might be part of the issue as I don't make use of hail. It's a bit of a shame as I wanted to use him as he had 3 legendary Pokemon but Regirock doesn't seem particularly impressive either.

For Super Doubles I've got no idea what team to run yet.

Really looking forward to Pokemon Bank. At the very least getting a Pidgey shouldn't require my soul or anything, but I can already imagine the insane requirements for older starters and what not.

Yeah, it's somewhat possible to get nice stuff. I got a Solgaleo over Wonder Trade, which I felt pretty bad for because I was trying that thing out for the first time (Haven't played Pokemon much in a while, but seeing all the changes and them getting rid of HMs lured made come back to it. Saw a bit of Omega Ruby let's play and thought about buying that then, but there were already rumors about the new Pokemon game so I held off on that.). I also managed to snipe a few great deals on GTS like 10% Zygarde, Cosmog and a Type:Null. Took quite a lot of refreshing, but it was worth it to have every Pokemon in the Alola Pokedex. Now I can just transfer them to the Pokebank if I want to restart and don't need to put any effort into catching all of them again.

Edit: At least I think I made up for the Solgaleo by putting up quite a few good bred Pokemon of mine on there.

The Breakdown

Signing Up

Okay so first and foremost **REGISTER NOW!** Sign up or log into the Pokemon Global Link and sign up for the competition. The site is a little difficult to navigate; where to sign up is hidden a bit. Under your in game avatar picture there is a drop down menu. In that menu, click Online Competition. There you can click the 2017 International for the division you qualify for and agree to terms and services for the battle. Do this **ASAP** as space is limited

Eye on the Prize

The prize for this competition are the Mega Stones Beedrillite and Mawilite, two what are going to be very rare items. Heres the thing, you get these just for competing! Once the battle period starts, play 3 successful games. Thats it! Doesn't matter if you win or lose them. I am not sure if they even have to be completed, but just in case make sure you complete them. Just note your box of Pokemon will be locked and you can not access them until after the challenge is over.

Restrictions

The Pokemon allowed are **strictly from what is in the Alola Dex**. Doesn't matter if you caught it in Sun/Moon, was born in Alola, or got it as a gift from Nintendo themselves. This battle is strictly those in your Rotom Dex. Exceptions being Zygarde, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Magearna, who are in the Rotom Dex and are banned anyways. Sorry Nebby.

You may not bring in any OG Kanto forms of Pokemon that have Alolan forms. This includes Fire-type Ninetails, Ground-type Sandslash, etc. **Only the Alolan form is legal**. This is common, but you are **restricted to only one species of each Pokemon, no duplicates.**. You can bring your Porygon, Porygon2, and Porygon-Z on the same team. But you may not bring two PorygonZ.

Items are restricted in a similar fashion, **no duplicate hold items**. The exception is **Mega Stones are not allowed at all**. This of course means you will not run into any Mega Pokemon.

Final restriction, **No QR Codes**. This applies to any challenges in fact. The Pokemon must reside in your box and be added into a battle box. If you liked a Pro's team you have been trying out on VGC17, now is the time to try and acquire those Pokemon.

Your Team

So it is now or never to building a team. Check out this sub's excellent write ups on VGC17 for great teams, Pokemon builds, etc. This international challenge is literally the same rules as VGC17 so those write ups apply here as well.

This doesn't seem like an ideal way to make those accessible. I'd like to restart my game at one point, but I'd already lose my Snorlium-Z and well if I'd restart I'd buy the bank so Mew's Z stone would be gone as well and now these too unless you can trade them.

They're distributing them through mystery gift later too, so you don't have to participate if you don't want to
