The side characters don't really affect the story much or get development or anything, so the impression I get is that they just wanted to fill out the roster of playable characters by tossing in a bunch of popular characters from different Fate works rather than opting to further flesh out Drake and Vlad or whoever.

The sequel needs something like DW8's Ambition Mode, tbh
They sort of dropped the ball with the premise since it doesn't really feel like a war between factions trying to conquer territory, it's just a bunch of random disjointed battles. They could have done a lot with the Servants on each faction, but nearly all of them are irrelevant and show up unceremoniously as mini-bosses like once each route
With the mention that the world is constantly expanding and trying to recreate the beauty of earth, they could have been more creative with the stage design, too.
What's the problem, it's like FGO except you actually get who you want when you spend money.

I think the stages themselves are nice enough but the story always ends up just occurring in either The Throne Room or The Boss Fight Room so the stages feel kinda disconnected from everything
So something a bit more like the Empires games?
If they do character DLC I'll...probably buy the DLC.

I'm still burned from playing a Musou game 3 years a go so i'm not going to buy it.
But if theres something that they should take from Dynasty Warriors series is trying to somehow mimic the ending cutscene
After playing through all kingdoms, with so many characters, seeing them win and lose, rise and fall, that final cutscene from DW7 is possibly my favorite anything from that series
If Fate/Extella 2 or whatever gives me something close to that i'm okay.
Hahaha, they actually make a reference to Romulus, and to the fact we answer Roma! to him in Grand Order. I obviously pick the option that allowed me to say that.
