The cost of casting trace is minuscule compared to the quality of the projection. Lucky for Shirou that he tapped out above average in MP considering how much he abuses it.

Man, I hope they re-did EMIYA's fighting style as well, since it looks like it's a new combo he's doing. It was kind of garbage in Extella. The combos were really weak and you just ended up spamming his Square+Triangle for the most part when you wanted to damage something, or then the Square+Square+Triangle if the opponent was resistant to knockback or tried to hit back. Swordrain-third-combo and Caladbolg-fourth-combo had too long cooldowns with not i-frames so you just got wrecked with them, and Caladbolg's range was so wonky it wouldn't hit in close range and at long range you'd just misjudge the distance and miss.
EMIYA's Triangle combos were even fucking worse, LOOOOONG ass animations, un-cancelable and wouldn't do enough damage to justify the time it took to execute. Hell, whenever I'd accidentally do the Triangle combo instead of a Dash+Triangle I'd curse out loud, because it was just such a bad move. Should have made him a proper zoner or something; arrow spam and mobility up the wazoo.
Cu was awesome; he had tools for everything. His last combo was just AMAZING for everything, Aggressors, Servants and Sefar alike would get wrecked by the Gae Bolg. All his combos were superb.
Tamamo had pretty good moves, too. The flamethrower was my favorite, except when Servants would guard and counter.
That said, I have to wonder what TM are thinking with whipping out new costumes for EMIYA with every new game. None of them stick; the FGO final ascension and this new one are just bland. The design philosophy of "his FSN outfit but MORE" just pisses me off. They should just give him the scarf+jacket+hair down outfit, since ALL the pixiv fanart seems to be either his regular outfit or that.
