Usually the spinoff game I tend to ask for is a musou, like I'd kill for a FMA musou for example, because I'm trash like that. But well, here we are.

Screw a Musou, FMA needs a new and intricate system just to combine CQC with alchemy.

Well going from how much changes they are making to the game play to me it seems it will be more enjoyable.

But then again, what aspects of the gameplay that bored you tho?

Topic hijack, but even for a musou Extella was just badly designed in some aspects.
Like... the whole "level gaining" RPG thing was an excercise in tedium and nothing else, since you HAD to grind for it (either QP or XP) and it offered zero reward for doing so. Going in underleveled? Enemy bosses are gonna slap you silly and/or it'll take fifty years to reduce their health even if you never get hit once. Going in overleveled? Congrats, you still have to run around waiting for random mooks to respawn in order to spawn Aggressors.
Plant respawn rate was also way overtuned; no matter what level you were at you'd always find yourself running around to save everyone, because a) ally Servants were utterly useless and b) your area capture time is ALWAYS gated by mook respawn rate. So it ended up a tedious game of ping-pong between capture this area, repel this assault, attack the plant, and oh what do you know by the time you've done all that a new plant has respawned and is attacking a new area.

Only having like five stages and having to replay them in every side-story hurt it a lot too. The combat system was shallow. Codecast was by and large useless. The only chips worth equipping were +XP and +Extella Meneuver ones. Game was basically solid (due to the plot, mostly) but it had a lot of small flaws that made it a chore to play.

Even if this game's story is based on choices im still going to try as much as I can to get that scene where Karna's and Charl's NPs clashed. That looks too cool to pass by.

I find his bow to be a tad weird, that thing is now too big with too many extra accessories to be practical. Well that just makes me want to see hi fight with it more to be honest.
