Studio BB is born, Kazuya Niino (FFXIV and DQ Builders 2) will lead the team. Can we have hope for the next Extella game to bring a good conclusion to the story? (If they plan to work on this game of course, I wonder what they will bring to us anyways.)
Heard good things about Builders 2, and FFXIV is fantastic, so that's actually really nice to hear.
Completed the main story. It was very fun. I teared up a little at the end of Altera route.
Just finished the first route. Playing as Lancelot is the best and I'm glad Free Selection is finally unlocked. I hope Saber is as good as Lancelot because the others I was really excited to play as are either a pain (e.g. Tamamo) or whatever (Charles), except for Gawain, he's good.
That aside, what a poor fucking excuse for a story. Just spinning its wheels until it ends without a single standout moment. They clearly put zero effort into writing this. Karl deserves better, I hope his gameplay is good at least.
During extra an exclusive English Magazine was made I never found it or even scans but a youtuber name Gnite Productions just posted a video of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44eixrc_LGo It's a fun look back as well as read.
The chinese even scanned that iirc. Probably have it somewhere, but it's not that interesting.

Finally played Gilgamesh's side story in the first Extella. Is the ending a reference to the second Velber unit, with Altera being the first one?

Oh, so Altera is the second Velber unit? Didn't remember that. In that case, who (or what) is the first one? Do we see it in Link?
I remember Gil saying something about "goddess of vengeance" in that side story so it was probably foreshadowing for Altera's little sister.
Yep, Altera is Velber-02. Velber-01 (Altera's "Older Brother") and Velber-03 (Altera's "Little Sister") are yet to appear in any work. What Gil references in his side story is probably Velber-03 and what EXTELLA Link shows is a mural ( https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/...20190605122005 ) that represents three figures that are speculated to be the three Velber "siblings".
