I remember that, rofl
the thing is the mainstream anime community consists of idiot teenagers
just because something is an edgefest they think the characters are complex and deep and the story is mature and masterfully written
they also prefer cool looking guys beating each other up instead of actual human drama ... there are guys saying F/Z was better because the characters seemed more powerful
So... how would they portray Hakuno? Giving him/her a personality kinda defeats the point.
Hakuno, having no reason to fight except survive, becoming stronger than other masters had thematic relevance. You need that blank slate as a contrast for other Masters' motivations.
Hence me wondering, what are they going to do about it.
Burning to the ground leaves a big empty space filled with Nero and shafting. I don't necessarily want to see one of the few things that made F/E story have some depth disappear.
If the point is deep enough it can provide the enjoyment by itself.
That not being the case here, I would wish for them to rework it into something acceptable for a visual medium without losing the essence. Though I can't figure out what I'm more skeptical about, their ability to successfully adapt the existing material or the skill to replace it with something decent.

Well, Leo and Gawain have to stay imo, I like the idea of them, and Knight of the Round Table suffering is always nice. Most other servants/masters could be recycled.

If Ufo could make GE work with Lenka (The MC in the game had 0 personality and was a complete blank slate), Nasu can make F/E work for Shaft with Hakuno

Just saw the trailer for Fate/Extra:Encore.Lost(?)Last
Yep, glorious in all ways, and Nero - centric to boot.
That said, maybe it's a prequel before Extra happened. After all, from what I played, information on how Twice fooled the system and got there is incomplete for me, and there's still the issue of how Hakuno got dragged there in the first place.
(Random guess follows...)
Prologue of the Fate/Extra game tells me that the Master of Nero will be the one who died earlier. He's really close to get to the truth when Twice gets in the way.
I would be really happy if this is a prequel to Fate/Extra. Questions will be answered then.
Shaft will make it even more glorious. XD
PS: The letters make it a double meaning, again. I read "Last" as "Lost". O.O
Not dealing with it...
Why even try?
This is golden...
If there's anything I have confidence in, it's in an anime adaptations ability to not to give the MC a personality.
Omg, with the new anime announced 'he' will finally get his deserved screen time!
It is truly the era of the no name.
Milbunk pls
you know, seeing as how in extra the MC spent a lot of time monologuing about guilt and the meaning of life in the first part and basically became a shounen hero in the latter half, there already is the groundwork laid for a pretty bog standard anime MC personality.
But actually we're going to get Sir Snarksalot.
alternatively, they could just make the MC araragi
