14 always felt weird for another reason though, primarily because the show aired a month into the Winter season. Assuming it airs back-to-back consistently without any weekly delays or recap episodes, a 14 episode series would end about halfway into next season.

According to Amazon BD solicitations disc 1 has 3 episodes while disc 2 has 2, which suggests an odd episode count.
More because they release by floors arc.
But yeah it looks likes it can't be a 14 episode serie, it could means a 15 episodes show or more, but also a 13 episodes or less, Wait and see.

I think the problem myself and others have with 'Flix in this case is that we're so used to our anime viewing experience be like this and watching it either raw, subbed shortly after release (within the week), or with simulcast subs that the prospect of having to wait several months later when it's not fresh is completely alien and not wanted. Especially since during that time, new series and seasons have already started that we may be watching through the traditional method already. :|
