Ok gave up on Chyuu ever finishing their release and watched the last few episodes. I enjoyed it I guess (Julius episodes were bad) but I don't really understand the intent here, I can't imagine this was enjoyable for the average secondary viewer. It basically hinges on you knowing the source material and its characters as otherwise it's a fucking convoluted mess.
Yess. Don't really know what they want to do with that

LE is a fucking convoluted mess even for people who know the source material and its characters.

10 episodes in, and I still have no idea why LE exists. It doesn't add any new interesting characters, any new consequential lore (Dead Face is such a waste, so far) or any new concepts to the EXTRA worlds that help expand it. Even as a new weird "what if" world, it still feels pointless and inconsequential to the other EXTRA installments.
I'm still hoping for the huge plot twist in the finale to justify its existence... which will most likely never come.
Still, fingers crossed.
Last Encore should've been Extella Zero.

Last Encore is just Dark Souls disguised as Fate/Extra.

Granted Archer did have an entire show about him so I never expected him to be a main character here but I just really like the Hakunon/Archer pair.
I prefer Hakunon and Nero, Hakuno and Tamamo.
Unless its Hakunon and Gil just for something like this

I was definitely hoping for a more surreal Shaft experience. I loved the NR episodes and generally remain positive (partially because of coming after Apocrypha, which I really disliked, and because Zero set a high bar that the other Fate anime adaptations not named Carnival Phantasm haven't quite met for me, whereas LE shatters the idea of a straightforward adaptation and opts for something new) but yeah this is a mess.
