The interactions don't change at all based on player gender in that route though, like if anything I prefer Gil with the male protag because it feels extremely gay

My reasoning for thinking the special will be about Tamamo begins and ends with it being called 天動説

I recall Hakuno reacting a lot more dryly to Gil's antics, which kinda killed my fujo senses. Thinking about it, though, it's almost certainly because of the translation being from two different sources for Hakuno and Hakunon's interactions.

So since oblitus arc seems to be the first main one, what if it's actually split more or less like this, but the first arc is coupled with the "this is a post-HGW setting" theory? In other words, something like the first part following Hakuno making his way through the ruined theatre searching for something, and having the events of that EXTRA version (since it obviously seems to be different) retold through flashbacks and such. This way, depending on what the story actually ends up being, Illustrius could serve as more of a finale with Hakuno resummoning Nero and saving the day (since "special broadcast" doesn't really scream "second full feature story arc" to me).

I'm actually not sold on this "post-HGW" theory TBH. I feel that it doesn't fulfill Nasu's statement that Last Encore will be based on Extra.

Post-HGW is just a new story with new events. It'd be like saying that Hollow Ataraxia is based on F/SN or the third war.

Alright, found the source of what I read back then. It's from Nasu's interview in TM Ace 11 a year and a half ago about Last Encore.

I read a rough TL on 4chan back then about SHAFT telling Nasu to go wild with no care for budget and Nasu saying that it's, supposedly, "still Extra", but with no further details.

Maybe someone can correct me, if I made a mistake.

It seems that there is a battle scene in the first episode and the atmosphere is somewhat serious and Saber herself appears occasionally. 1st episode script art is Saber and art for script changes every episode. Ms. Sakura says that the animation is 'free moving, high quality and very smooth' and apparently saber also smiles in the first episode
