And again, Danganronpa V3. I have seen hundreds of comments claiming the last chapter reveals are garbage and they ruin the game. I love everything about V3 and thought that last chapter was great.

I'm kinda starting to theorize that it was Hakunon's appearance in those flashbacks, but due to Hakuno's memory, he sees his current "form" there instead.

Alice calls him Onii-chan in both the flashbacks and even the monster turned Alice is waiting for an Onii-chan. It was definitely a male. She forgot him when she turned into a monster, you can see her struggling to remembering him when she first starts transforming. Even when she saw him, she couldn't recognize him. Seeing the book they used to read together reminded Alice who it was, and when she cries, we see only Hakuno reflected in her eyes. In the ending, she again calls him Onii-chan, remembering who he is.

Hmmm. That would kinda make sense if true, actually. It'd put "Oh, it's you" from episode 1 and "was a completely different person" from this episode into a new perspective.

I don't know if it's been pointed out before, but that "Oh, it's you" was more of a mistranslation than anything. Whoever subbed it thought Nero said "そなたか", ending with か, making a somewhat complete sentence. What she actually said was "そなたが", the が suggesting she stopped midway through her sentence. It was more closer to "So you are..." then "Oh, it's you".

The story's becoming more clear the more episodes go by, this was a very emotional episode (though...crying loli noises did take me out of it just a bit).

On a side note, I'd like to thank you guys, I don't think I'd be able to understand half of what's going on without this forum, and tumblr is too busy hating absolutely everything about this show to get anything productive out of the tags

Okay, so if I have this right:

One of Nursery Rhyme's Noble Phantasm is a Reality Marble that allows the Servant to project their Master's desires outwards. In the original Fate/Extra game, it allowed her to turn a battle back to the beginning by rewinding time, essentially making it a continuous retry like what happened here. But in the previous episode it was mentioned that it could be suppressed by Alice.

Nursery Rhyme was projecting Alice's form like the doll when she spotted the book, gained a moment of clarity about what was happening to her. Then Alice spotted Hakuno and came to realize that he came back, so she decided to have Nursery Rhyme drop the time-loop aspect of her power and let them go. But because the act destroyed her NP, the Cyber-Ghost at the end was Alice's true form or... what now?
