The comment Nasu left in the script basically reads like "The boss of that floor is Caster/Tamamo. Leave it as an extra, not in the TV broadcast." and then talking about his "hints" that McJon already mentioned above.

Since when does the Moon-Cell have Guardians?
Was his function just to kill people at the end of every preliminary loop?
If it is then why not just use the effigies, they seem to work just fine.

I know but wasn't the whole point of Mumei being different from Emiya that he didn't have to go through such a job despite his contract?
I guess things changed with Twice taking control of the Angelica Cage and he had to get to work, but still, what work? Just the preliminaries?
Seems like working a Servant to the point where his body is crumbling as he moves is really unnecessary (and inefficient) when the Moon Cell already had numerous efigies working just fine.

So, Tamamo was in all along but was cut, without a single explanation for that entire floor in the anime.
Nasu timestamped shit in Caster's floor but SHAFT made it unnecessarily confusing with no straightforward explanation
Mumei existence in the show wasn't given a single explanation or a justification, despite both being there in the original script.
Drake's luck explanation vs what was shown...sigh. Just what the hell were they thinking...?

No wonder everything feels so dull and confusing. LE requires your emotional investment from playing the game because it can't engage your intellect on any level as it doesn't even have the time to adequately explain most of its events, be it through visual direction or even by going the laziest route and having a character narrate the explanations a la HxH.

Wait, but Hakuno made it through with Nero the first time, but we know from their back stories, Shinji only beat the astronaut and didn't move up, Dan got beat by somebody with Suzuka Gozen and Rin and Rani took each other out of the running. So if we did get the first time round, only Julias, Leo and the epic fail against Twice would necessarily be the same. The other five rounds could be entirely different. That would be fun.

The thing gets hacked, damaged or otherwise tampered with pretty much every single time it appears. If anything, it needs more protection.
