I'm really curious what the deal with Amari is...
She's introduced as Shinji's girlfriend, has a better chance at being picked in spot the protag than Hakuno, and actually has some interesting dialogue before being put on the safe bus by Shinji. Way too much effort went into her for a throwaway, so where the hell did she end up?
Aside from that, anyone else getting a real SOMA vibe from Last Encore?
The world is dying and the only hope to continue humanity is as a digital recording offworld? Our protag assumed we were still in the 21st century, but we're actually well beyond that and they seem to have lived repeatedly as multiple copies of themself?
As an extra aside, I assume Dan is the second Floor Master because the previous one already headed upward. While Shinji was the last successful master on floor one, he didn't want to advance, so he never got on the elevator, but for each successive floor, we can assume the floor master is the latest recipient of the musical chair after the previous floor master moved up a level.
With that being said, if we're true to pattern, the next one will be Alice and Nursery Rhyme, and given what we've seen thus far, I dread to imagine what that floor will look like.
