All that aside, I struggle to imagine even a single manga I think would really benefit from a live action film unless it's some shitty thing you're improving by making heavy edits or you're making some largely unrelated spinoff. Like maybe I could do with a live action Fate spinoff with its own plot for example.

iirc they're literally making it in NZ for tax reasons as far as people can tell, so you know they care

I don't doubt it's tax reason I'm just saying it's shit and well-done for saving some cash producers. Well done.
My attempts at being a (fanfic) writer:

Eclipse - a Saber Alter oneshot
Requiem for a Race - Altrouge and Ortenrosse hunt the TAs ( 1/3 chapters, discontinued )
    Memories of a King - a 'Saber Origins' story ( 8/? chapters, discontiuned )
    A Small Warmth - a post UBW-Good oneshot, Saber/Rin
    Devil's Thrill - Narbareck hunts down a DAA Blackmore ( 10/10 chapters, finished )
    Boundary of Loneliness - Ryougi Shiki/Alphard Al-Shua oneshot. Lemon-flavoured

I bet they'd have saved even more money by not making the film.

The main thing I remember about PoP is the film attempted to pass off Ben Kingsley playing the uncle and royal vizier being the villain a twist.

Oldboy changed a whole lot of stuff but it's generally considered to be a pretty okay movie if you ask around.

Basically manga has been animated decent enough before. What the murrikans can bring that the domestic industry won't be able to do though is hella cash which could work for more out there properties that could do with good CG work.

remember the undying cowboy bebop project

I never got around to seeing it or reading AYNIK but didn't it diverge heavily? And of course there was again the whitewashing issue.

See this is the perfect example of something we don't need though. CB is a (mostly) perfect package, you gain nothing by adding to it.

Yeah Edge of Tomorrow changed some things, some of which made it significantly less anime.

    HUGE AXES
