Problem with Mahou installation (Windows 8.1)

I have a legitimate copy of the vn and a windows 8 laptop in Japanese locale. Whenever I try to install from the disc the loading bar would go to about 5% and stop there and when I copy the files from the disc to the hard drive I would get an error. I've tried running compatibility mode for Windows 7 and running it as administrator, but to no luck. Do any of you guys have a solution to this problem? Thank you in advance.

managed to get past this. Now when I start the game I get the same problem as this guy:

Managed to fix it. It works fine now.
