Generally how translations work is that they are edited before they are posted. So when a project says it's complete, you can assume 99.9% of the work that will ever be done on it is now over. There occasionally will be exceptions but that's the rule of thumb.

^ This. I mean, I don't get how you "drop" something that's done. I can see people rereading through and occasionally going "whoops, that was a stupid grammatical error or inconsistency" and fixing it, but, how does one drop something that you haven't picked up?

Are you guys sure he isn't just talking about mewarmo's plan to go through the entire thing from the beginning and edit/retranslate everything for accuracy and quality?
Is he also going to retranslate the other language translations of the translation-of-a-translation?
Seems just about as likely as him actually finishing all that work on the English version, so sure why not.
Yes, I was talking about mewarmo's plan. I just assumed that at least some translators from here was included in it. Seems, I was wrong.
As for the "editing before posting", sure, that's how it works with anime and manga, but that's not always the case with light novels and visual novels. Anyway, thanks for answers.
Not always no (like terraablaze said, there are occasional exceptions), but it usually is (for LN's and VN's as well I mean). The same rule of thumb applies.

Well, I suppose it depends on what you would consider 99.9%, but at least with all the VN's I've played, once they were listed as complete, then basically everything had been translated and edited, and any subsequent patches were just minor patches to fix small things like the occasional typo here and there, or glitches/issues. ┐(￣ー￣)┌

Baka Tsuki translations may or may not be machine translated toxic waste. Read at your own hazard.

It's not Baka Tsuki but I will always fondly remember how someone "translated" the Bokurano LNs by just writing fanfiction and calling it a translation.
I would normally say yes because I'm just that lazy, but man, there's stuff like this that's pure fanfiction slapped onto dialogue boxes:

Still reading it from time to time. Still change the occasional strange grammar/vocab I spot. Knows some other people who are also reading it from time to time and may make small changes. But coordinated effort? Nah.
Sorry for not posting here sooner, I only found out recently that I was mentioned.
I have a local copy of the text I've worked on. Last modified date was in 2010 and it was mainly some problematic areas in Volume 2. So yeah, I really do want to give the novel a proper rework but it won't be done anytime soon. My interest in Type-Moon things has waned a bit over time since I picked up real life work.
Right now I'm just helping out with a few scenes in the hollow project, and after my commitment to that is done, I want to pick up Red Dragon again since Lianru hasn't updated in forever. When that happens I will also take a look at what I have done for Fate/Zero.

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but i'm currently reading through fate/zero again and occasionally correct mistakes i spot. Right now i'm having a problem correcting a sentence in Act 7 Part 1:
Thus, in the situation where the female protector lay fallen on the ground, isn’t this most unlikely situation - the fact that the Einzbern family’s Master appearing alone in front of Kirei?
I know something is incorrect here. Could somebody help me?
