As in, like, Arthur, Okita, Shuten, Jing Ke, etc. Do you think getting more genderbent Servants is good, or no?

Linger: Complete. August, 1995. I met him. A branch off Part 3. Mikiya keeps his promise to meet Azaka, and meets again with that mysterious girl he once found in the rain.
Shinkai: Set in the Edo period. DHO-centric. As mysterious figures gather in the city, a young woman unearths the dark secrets of the Asakami family.
The Dollkeeper: A Fate side-story. The memoirs of the last tuner of the Einzberns. A record of the end of a family.
Overcount 2030: Extra x Notes. A girl with no memories is found by a nameless soldier, and wakes up to a world of war.
Seiba was a good little twist, everything else is just pandering.
Spoiler:
Well Fate is well and truly beyond the point where it's trying to be at all serious so yeah why not let's go with it.
I think it's fine. Sure it's a bit silly when some well-known historical figure like Nero turns out be a girl, but even then I don't really mind as long as the resulting character is interesting. And when it comes to figures like Arthur and Jing Ke who are either mythical or so obscure almost nothing is known about them I see no issue with it at all.
Plus, having done quite a few of these myself, I'm obviously unfit to criticize. In fact, my next Servant will be a genderbent 'Olivia' Cromwell. Look forward to her in CaS...!
First time was a good twist. Now it's overplsyed, but at least if they're cute/sexy then it's still worth something.
My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
In terms of Shuten, wasn't there a legend about Shuten transforming into a woman or something?
Never cared for them in the first place. However, it's too late do anything about it now. Genderbends are at least one of three things one needs to make it a Fate work. The other two? Saber and her clones and Gilgamesh. (Not all three need to appear, but I'd say it's not a Fate work if it doesn't have at least one of those three things. )

I agree, I was talking the series in general.
I stopped caring long ago about the excessive genderbends.
It's fine, but not necessary at this point, other than to pad out the number of female heroes. Then again every once and a while we get one which does something fun with it, like implying that Drake is really just Queen Elizabeth.

Genderbends are silly. But since when Fate was serious business?

Their worth (life) ends when humans can no longer bear that purity.
