Ok, I haven't tried that much, sorry.
I usually open the browser and don't really check settings unless I need to and since I tend to use Ie as my default browser and only open firefox and Chrome when there was a problem with it, (or for quick access to gmail), I haven't really experimented with them.
Once more thanks for telling me.
Even under the default settings, there's a big RESTORE PREVIOUS SESSION button on the Firefox home screen. And also in the history menu.
I still prefer Opera, though.
Is the Opera userbase small/weird enough that I can call you a hipster for that?

It does, there is a page somewhere with the stats.
Not really, a lot (I daresay most) people are not computer-educated and use variations of IE all over the place. IE versions combined usually sum up to be the most used; next go chrome/firefox users with about 30% each, then safari and opera, then other hipster browsers/mobile versions and stuff like that.

I use either Chrome or FireFox, depending on which is being more troublesome.
And as I also pointed out by testing, it ain't Chrome, since I grabbed the same version, tested doing links in that version, and it worked just fine.
Only conclusion: Something, somewhere, is screwy with your installation of Chrome and it's making it wig out here.

Well, if you have any ideas, please let me know. It worked just fine with linking until April 1st.
Have you tried re-installing Chrome or disabling extensions, assuming you have any, one by one to see if any are affecting it?
Mozilla Firefox (from when the 4.0 Beta came out, absolutely loved it).
