Just so y'all know, the issues Re:my accessing the forum have been resolved without a hitch at this point. Mods: if this is your doing, then you have my eternal gratitude.

Though frankly I think I've got a pretty good idea of what the problem was by now, and it may've been nothing to do with this site at all. After tinkering with my speaker system, I found out one of the cables in my new monitor was plugged in the wrong way and fixing that seems to have immediately rectified the issues I'd been having. Still kind of peculiar how only this forum was affected, though...

In any case, I'm certainly glad to be back!

And I'm sorry for alleging the mods might've directed some kind of hack at me. That was uncalled for.

In fairness, I was going through a bunch of disruptions in my life at the time (including major home renovation and recovering from a fairly bad cold), so this was kind of like the straw that broke the camel's back.

I'd talked about it to him a while ago, and he basically wants it to be a free and open thing where anyone can come in without needing approval.

So linking would still be a step removed... unless you automated that somehow, I suppose.

I always thought giving out access only to the people who actually know what they're talking about and are motivated enough to work on would be a good idea, but that is another story.

Recently put the mobile version of Firefox on my phone because I wanted an adblock and wasn't aware of a good one on Chrome. However, textboxes on this site don't wordwrap, not do they display text in the normal fashion (i.e. the box is completely whited out if not in the box, and gray box with white text when the box is active).

I just use a mobile adblock browser if I'm worried about ads. Otherwise I stick with Chrome.

Any other reports of this? Sounds just like what happens to me when BL tries to load on a really bad connexion with the normal skin, if that's of any interest.
