A cute girl who can summon a harem of all the heroic olympic athletes that ever participated in her games.

    Including Nero.

Heracles too, since according to one legend he invented (and competed) in them.

So, a cute girl who can summon Nero and calls Heracles "Papa" then?

What does it say about me that I'm actually half-considering doing this?

What Class would she be, though? Caster would be the obvious pick, but doesn't quite fit since the Olympics are clearly very physical in nature.

As we've seen from the latest FGO event, you can literally come up with any excuse to fit someone in a Class, even if it makes no fucking sense whatsoever.

That you'd do anything to make a servant into a cute girl.

As for your query, if we're having the connotations between Nero and Heracles, then my first thought would be Rider or Striker or whatever.

Another reason to take some things in Grand Order with a hefty grain of salt.

Yeah, Striker seems like it'd be the most logical pick. I've done enough Riders and Casters already.

As Uther was my very first sheet ever made and now that there is a new thread, I thought I'd make another Arthurian knight but for a change, not one you've seen before.

    ------------------------------

    Source: (x)

Class: Saber (Alternatively Lancer and Berserker)
True Name: Sir Balin le Savage "The Knight of Two Swords"
    Alignment: Chaotic Good
    Place of Origin: Camelot
    Attribute: Earth
    Traits: Human
    Armament: Armour, Two Swords

    STR: A
    END: B
    AGI: A
    MGI: C
    LCK: E (C)
    NP: B

    Height/Weight: 189cm/77kg
    Likes: Violence, Bouts of Rage
    Dislikes: Patience, Calm Analysis
    Talent: Jumping to Conclusions
    Natural Enemy: Vivan, Lady Lile

    Class Skills:

    Magic Resistance: B
grants protection against magical effects. Differently from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether. Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for them to be affected.

    Riding: B-
the ability to ride mounts. Rider-class Servants will typically possess a high rank, and A-rank can allow for Phantasmal Beasts and Divine Beasts to be mounted. It is said that dragon type mounts are an exception, requiring a different ability other than Riding.

Most vehicles can be handled with above average skill. However, cannot ride the likes of Phantasm Races such as Monstrous Beasts. It's rank has been reduced due to legends that upon his final battlefield he rode his horse so hard it died between his legs.
    Personal Skills:

    Battle Continuation: A
The strength of vitality for predicaments. Also, the ability to withdraw from combat and reach allied territory alive after being defeated. Makes it possible to fight even with deadly injuries and can remain alive so long as one does not receive a decisive fatal wound. After performing the Dolorous Stroke, a castle collapsed on top on him where he survived for three days before being fished out by Merlin.

    Bravery: A+
The ability to negate mental interference such as pressure, confusion and fascination. Not usable under the effects of Mad Enhancement. Bonus effect of increasing melee damage. Merlin prophesied he would have been the bravest of all the Knights of Camelot.

    Vigilance: B-
A skill that increases the servants's perception. Here, one can maintain a constant awareness of his surroundings, removing penalties of visual and audio obstructions. However this only applies to combat scenarios, Balin himself was able to fight and defeat an invisible knight but not recognise his own brother.

    Noble Phantasms

    Sword of the Red Hilt
    Ill-fated Destiny

    Type: Anti-Unit
    Rank: C
    Range: 1-2
    Max Targets: 1

The original sword of Saber. It is a longsword with an ethereal beauty that surpasses even Excalibur despite being made by mortal hands. It possessed a red hilt and swaying clasps. Upon the arrival of a mysterious damsel called Lady Lile bearing a sword that only the most brave knight in King Arthur's court will be able to undo the clasps of the swordbelt and draw the sword from its sheath. Balin, despite his low position was able to do so. Similarly to Arondight, the Sword of the Red Hilt was to be gifted to the most brave knight. However, it was cursed by Lady Lile - while it still signifies his virtue, it bears a curse of kinslaying. When he draws the blade, it raises his physical stats by a rank however his LCK stat is permanently locked at E.

This sword has had multiple appearances through legend and taken different forms and names. It was originally the sword of Goliath before being acquired by David and being passed through to Soloman before falling into the hands of Balin. This was the sword that Galahad drew from the float stone. Merlin had sheathed the sword into the float stone after the death of Balin, which was later drawn by Galahad.
    Arondight - Overdrive
Bloody Scream, Holy Sword of Release

    Type: Anti-Unit
    Rank: A++
    Range: 1-5
    Max Targets: 10 People
A holy sword wielded by Balin and later bestowed to Lancelot, the sword that is the counterpart of King Arthur's Excalibur. It bears a similar design to that of Excalibur, carved with Fairy Letters to show that it was a Divine Construct not forged by mortal hands. It is a limitless sword capable of receiving any attack without taking damage that shines much like the water of the Lake. It was given only to someone who could be exalted as the "perfect knight", the strongest, bravest and truest knight of an era. Repurposed into a single attack, it reflects the bloodied waters of the Lady of the Lake whom he slew in a fit of rage, releasing stored mana at the tip while slashing the target. The red and blue light that engulfs the target looks like a clear lake, saturated with blood.

    Dolorous Stroke
    The Phantasmagorical Blow of Suffering

    Type: Anti-Unit/Anti-Country
    Rank: B+
    Range: 2-6
    Max Targets: 1 Person

The most infamous strike in all Arthurian legend. He ignores an "unearthly voice" and strikes the king when deprived of his weapon and thinks his stroke is 'justified'. The single Dolorous Stroke struck down the Fisher king and devastated his entire kingdom, turning it into a wasteland until the king was healed by Galahad. Balin can replicate this attack with any of his weapons but it synchronises with the fabled Spear of Destiny, the Lance of Loginus which Balin would certainly wield in the Lancer class and possibly the Berserker class as well.

Balin can replicate this phenomenon and strike his foe with a powerful curse, ruining the flow of prana almost irreparably. Any magus or servant who has received this blow will be critically weakened, leaving them incapable of performing in combat and in constant pain. The landscape will reflect the state of the wounded party and slowly deteriorate and wither over time. The death of Saber will not stop these effects but they can be healed by a "Truly Virtuous Person".

Balin himself does not even fully understand this Noble Phantasm himself, merely saying "I hit a guy really hard, everyone feels it." Also curiously enough the blow will take effect regardless of where it lands on the opponent but when performing this attack, he will always aim for the groin. It is unknown if this is a conscious decision or not.
    Lore

A man who was prophesied that he would have been the bravest knight of Arturia. Emphasis on would have been. A knight who lived and died before the formation of the round table, his tale is short, tragic and filled with hilarious murder rage.

A poor knight who was just released after six months imprisonment for killing a cousin of the King, the court was approached by Lady Lile of Avalon, an agent of the English Lady of the Lake - Vivan. She held a sword locked in its sheath and said only the bravest of them could release it. She also decreed he who unleashed the swords must return it to her. Sir Balin whom was overlooked due to his social status drew the sword with ease. He admired the beauty of the blade so, he decided to keep it. Lady Lile warned him if he kept it, he would kill the person he loved the most. Not believing her for a second he ignored the warnings. Lady Lile decreed that Balin would be dead in two months where he and another knight would kill each other in a duel before storming out.

Shortly afterwards the Vivan, the Lady of the Lake herself, arrived in Camelot who demanded payment from Arturia in the form of the head of Sir Balin due to a feud between the two's families. Before the king could reply, Balin was struck with murderous rage. Claiming Vivan was responsible for his mother being burned to death, he drew his sword and decapitated Vivan. Arturia was decidedly less than convinced with Balin's weak story and disgusted that he murdered an unarmed woman in front of the king. Even if his story was true, he prevented true justice and was banished from the court.
Merlin then revealed that Lady Lile was a traitor who had sought revenge for her lover's death through that sword, whose holder is destined to slay his own brother. Merlin also said that Balin was the man who slew he lover in the past and Balin and Lady Lile "Shared a brother" making them related. Not that Balin paid any attention.

After his twin brother, Sir Balan, was sent off to have a pagan king pay tribute to Camelot and to defeat an invisible knight. Balin was sent to follow Lancelot and take after his example to quell his rage. Deciding that Lancelot was so virtuous due to being around the queen Guinevere, he painted the crown of the queen on his shield to remind himself of what his virtue should be. Even though shields are supposed to face away from the user, then again Balin appears to be consumed with murderous rage 24/7 so go figure.

After this transpired, Balin was set out to avenge slain by the invisible knight and quickly ends up in the territory of King Pellam, brother of the invisible knight. In a duel with the invisible knight he battled the man across an entire castle before crashing into a feast and killing the him. Sir Balin would have been attacked by everyone in the hall if not for the shield on his back showing the crown of Guinevere. Therefore proving Balin is capable of at least one good decision. King Pellam's son made the wise idea to insult the queen Balin had decided to devote himself to and in a remarkable case of self-control, he did not kill Garlon on the spot and was granted guest rights and allowed to stay for the evening. Garlon pushed his luck by insulting the honour of Guinevere in the morning, Balin put on his new set of armour, took a look at the sundial and saw it was Murder O'Clock and killed Garlon. Pellam immediately demands vengeance and in a move of pre-emptive self defence he grabbed a spear hanging on the wall of the main hall which was the Lance of Loginus (though he did not know the importance of the weapon) and performed the Dolorous Stroke. He stabbed Pellam in the groin with it with enough force to cause the castle to collapse in on itself and turn the kingdom of Pellam into a wasteland, which Galahad would restore years later. After three days Merlin fished Balin out of the rubble.

Riding throught the wasteland, being insulted by the people, he encountered a mysterious woman whom he did not recognise and she asked him if she could take refuge at Camelot to hide from a persistent "Suitor" only for Balin to cry to the heavens about how he was no longer worthy to be a knight for his murderous wrath and how he violated the name of Guinevere. He damsel mocked him and said how Guinevere was a pure as a "Lady of the Night" to put in polite terms. Although the dame was lying, Balin remembered how close she was to Lancelot and he immediately jumped to the conclusion they were having an affair.

The murderous cloud cuckoolander was right.

As the knight of good decisions he threw his shield to the floor and crushed it beneath his feet only to find his brother Balan witness to his spectacle of fury, who has still failed to find the invisible knight due to said knight being invisible and dead, with the only people who knew about the fate of said knight also dead. Balan jumped to the conclusion that this unrecognisable knight in front of him was that knight stomping on a shield with the royal crown on it and challenged him to a duel. Balin, too filled with rage to recognise his twin, charged at him. Balin rode with such vigor and fury that his horse died from over exertion. The battle ends in seconds with two simultaneous attacks as both brother mortally wound each other with Balin outliving Balan by a few hours.

And so Lady Lile's vengence was complete. Her enemy for that of the murderer of her lover and mistress was slain and had in turn killed the man closest to him. The identity of this mysterious lady was unknown and may have been Lady Lile in disguise.

Merlin took the Sword of the Red Hilt and thrust it into a floating stone where it would await its true user. Galahad.

    Personality
Balin is arguably the worst knight. He is in a perpetually foul mood, greedy and with a hair trigger temper leaving him liable to step into madness frequently. Balin truly believes that the Saber class is the most fitting class for himself due to his nickname and at a push the Lancer class would be acceptable however it is ironic considering his atitude. Although he may not possess the same skill in melee combat as the other classes, his preference for destructive power over finesse and personality would make Berserker the most appropriate class.

    Tactics

Sir Balin in an exceptional combatant, though possesses little wisdom and tact, therefore it is best for a magus to utilise familiars to examine ones foes first then after finding their weakness - sending Balin in their direction like a cannon. However due to his lack of subtlty, he would likely give his identity in a fight so it is best to utilise "Scorched Earth Tactics" with him. Leave no witnesses and destroy all evidence after confrontation.

    --------------------

In Le morte d'Arthur he was supposed to be even stronger than Lancelot (which is certainly why Mallory killed him off so quick) so I admit he may appear quite overpowered but he doesn't even have access to all his Noble Phantasms in this class, which is why I didn't make him a Berserker. Don't worry, my next servant is going to be really weak to compensate.

Nice work on that Sir Balin profile, Hermes. I'd thought of doing one myself occasionally, but could never think of any creative enough ideas for his NPs. Yours is certainly a good take on one of the more tragic (perhaps comedic, depending on how your dark your preferred blend of comedy runs) of Arthurian knights.

In most of the legends I've read online, Sword With The Red Hilt and Arondight were one and the same (the former becoming Lancelot's sword after he pulled it from the stone). Balin's other sword was a nameless one without any particular legends (peculiarly for one called 'the knight of two swords', only one of his swords was of any special note). Your decision to split them up into separate swords works quite well though. In particular, I like how you alluded to the imagery of Saber!Lancelot's own NP in the latter's description. First darkened, now bloodied. Poor Arondight seems to find itself corrupted quite often for a holy sword.

I can see you went for a rather more negative take on his character then I'd have imagined. I'd have done him as a reckless, impulsive but generally good-hearted person cursed with poor fortune whereas your take on his personality sounds more like just a prideful, greedy idiot with a temper (though he's still Chaotic Good so what do I know). In general, I tend to portray 'ambiguous' figures (Paris, Theseus, et cetera) as troubled romantics whereas you more emphasize the less wholesome aspects of their character.

There's also a typo in the first paragraph of Sword With A Red Hilt's description saying 'When he draws draws the blade' while you obviously meant just 'When he draws the blade'.

By the way, I'm actually working on the silly Heroic Spirit of the Olympics idea AvengerEmiya gave me, which should be completed and up sometime tomorrow if all goes well.

Hmm. Since there's a movie about him coming out, I wonder how someone would go about doing Nat Turner (of the Turner Rebellion) as a Heroic Spirit. He'd probably be Saber (pictures depict him with a ceremonial sword) or Rider with personal Skills being Revelation, EOTM(T) and Rebellious Spirit, but I'm not at all sure what his NP(s) would be. Wouldn't want to go with just the usual Ionian Hetairoi knock-off so... maybe something to do with the solar eclipse, given that he used it as a signal to begin his rebellion?

In any case, I'm curious if anybody has any ideas on the guy. We could use some more Black Heroic Spirits around here.

First of all, Sir Balin is awesome. The Noble phantasms are creative (especially the alternative take on Arondight), and the personality is pretty amusing as well. Always nice to see a saber who isn't a boring perfect knight. As for Nat, I'd love to see a profile, but I'm afraid I don't know enough about him to think of any Noble Phantasms. Interested to see what you come up with, though. (The Olympic Games servant is going to be something as well.)

    Class: Saber

    STR: B+
    END: B
    AGI: B
    MGI: C
    LCK: C

    Class Skills

Magic Resistance (A): Cancels spells A-rank or lower, making Saber untouchable to modern magic.
Despite being from in the 19th century, Saber's unwavering piety vastly increases his rank.

Riding (B): Can handle most mundane vehicles and mounts. However, Phantasmal races are far beyond his ability.

    Personal Skills

Incitement (A): The ability to sway the masses via words, gestures and charisma. When used against an
individual, it functions as a sort of mental assault. Saber was the spark that lit the fire for a huge
rebellion, gaining tens of thousands of followers in one of the bloodiest conflicts in human history.

Self-Suggestion (EX): A powerful suggestion or delusion that blocks out mental interference. Saber fully
believes himself to be the younger brother of Jesus Christ, and the second Son of God. This delusion is
so fully ingrained into his psyche and the beliefs of the people that he is summoned with legitimate divine
power. Skills and Noble Phantasms based on Christ can be replicated, although they will appear with a Chinese
aesthetic. This includes mastery of Baptismal Rites, an effective rank A in Charisma and Divinity, the
manifestation of several Holy Shrouds and Relics, and a transformation of Saber's body into peak physical
form. Indeed, as God is beyond the comprehension of men, so too is the nature of Saber's unbreakable delusion.

    Noble Phantasms

Yang Xiuqing~Voice of God from the Lips of the East King (B, Support)

A golden seal hung on a chain around Saber's neck, it holds within it the power of God's voice. When
activated, it grants the wearer the ability to speak with God's authority, causing a mental interference
effect that causes those who hear Saber to believe and accept anything he says. He can gift the seal to
anyone, usually his Master, so they can properly serve him as second in command. It is named for Saber's
commander-in-chief, Yang Xiuqing, who served as the Voice of God in his army. It was through this control
that won Saber so many loyal, fanatical followers.

    Zhan Yaojian~Demon Slaying Swords (C+, Anti-Unit, Anti-Evil)

Saber's main weapons take the form of two giant swords, each one meter long and weighing four and a half
kilograms. Inscribed with his family name and arias of demon-slaying, they are superb weapons against Evil
aligned enemies. Despite their weight, Saber wields them quite easily, striking quickly and heavily. Much like
an earlier famous pair of Chinese swords, wielding them together increases his STR and deals massive damage
    to monsters and demons.

Yitianjian~Glorious Heavenly Sword of Demon Purging (A+, Anti-Army)

An attack symbolizing the original holy sword presented to Saber by Christ Himself. The accepting and
drawing of this sword sent Saber down the path of a bloody leader and conqueror. It is activated when
Saber presses his two swords together and merges them into a sword of pure light. From here it turns
into a Divine Construct unleashing massive blasts of energy with every swing, just as he and his followers
carved swaths of blood across China, backed by Saber's God-given power.

    Background
Hong Xuiquan was the leader of the Taiping Rebellion, the bloodiest civil war in human history, leaving
at least 20 million dead. He was born the fourth son of poor farmers in the south of China, and was the
smartest of his siblings. His parents made financial sacrifices to give him a formal education so he
could take the notoriously difficult civil service exams and become an Imperial official. While working
as a schoolteacher, he passed his local exams with flying colors, but continually failed at the provincial
level. In 1837, the stress overwhelmed him and he suffered a nervous breakdown and had to be locked in his
room for a month. Amid the fever dreams, he saw visions of himself being carried to Heaven, and Confucius
being cast down to Hell. An "elder-brother figure" wearing a black robe and a golden beard then approached
him and, giving him a holy sword and seal, told him to purge China of evil. Using his minimal knowledge
of Christianity, Hong concluded that his "elder brother" was Jesus Christ and thus he was the second Son
of God. His family noted that after he emerged from his room he was taller and more authoritative.

Hong began burning all Confucian and Buddhist statues and books he could find, and began preaching to his
community. His earliest converts were relatives and friends who had also failed to climb the political
ladder. He then journeyed west for 300 miles, gathering followers from the poor and uneducated, quickly
building a cult of personality with thousands of followers. Hong used pamphlets and translated Bibles
brought over by European and American missionaries. Thanks to natural disasters, economic problems and
defeats at the hands of Western powers (particularly the humiliating defeat by the British in the Opium
Wars), the disenfranchised and the poor flocked to Hong.

By 1850, Hong and his inner circle had 20,000 followers, and the authorities became alarmed at the growing
size of the cult and ordered them to disperse. These efforts quickly turned violent and the general of the
government army was killed. Hong then declared the founding of Taiping (Heavenly Kingdom). Over the next
couple years they had numerous clashes with the ruling Qing dynasty, but ultimately seized the city of
Nanjing and turned it into Taiping's capital.

Now with a center of control, Hong ruled by making frequent proclamations from his Heavenly Palace, demanding
strict compliance with various moral and religious rules. The slightest deviations were punishable by death,
and he and his companions lived like kings with all the money, food and women they could want.

However, his power attracted the British, who allied with the Qing and took back most of the Chinese territory.
Hong declared that God would defend Nanjing, but in June of 1864, with Qing forces approaching, he died of food
poisoning as a consequence of eating wild vegetables when the city ran low on food supplies. He was sick for 20
days before succumbing and a few days after his death, Qing forces took the city. His body was exhumed to verify
his death, and then cremated. Hong's ashes were later blasted out of a cannon in order to ensure that his remains
had no resting place as eternal punishment for the uprising.

Hong Xuiquan is a pretty interesting Saber and character as well. It's not often you see Chinese servant with connotations of christianity. The Incitement skill works better than Charisma in this case due to his nature so good choice there. I'm fond of the 1st and 3rd Noble Phantasms as the first would play out interestingly and the 3rd has rather evocative imagery. It's nice to see it becomes a Holy Sword due to God rather than the power of the sword itself so that is nice to see.

    Caster
Anna Ivanovna, Empress of all the Russians

    Alignment: Lawful Evil
    STR: E
    END: E
    AGI: D
    MAG: A
    LUCK: B
    NP: B

    Class Skills

Territory Creation (A+): The skill to build a special terrain that is advantageous to oneself as a magus. Creation of a "Temple", which is superior to a "Workshop", becomes possible. Being the ruler of the vast land of Russia in life grants Caster a high rank in this skill.

Item Construction (B): The skill to manufacture magical items. This rank allows for production of devices that carry magic power. Caster can create familiars of ice and snow, as well as ammunition for her rifle, her main form of offense.

    Personal Skills

Imperial Privilege (A): An ability that, due the insistence of the owner, Skills that are essentially impossible to possess can be obtained for a short period of time. In cases when the Rank is А or above, even the "burden to the body" is acquired (such as Divinity). Caster’s autocratic rule in life allows her a high rank in this skill.

Return of Slight (B): A skill that allows the user counterattack with curses and grudges. The more damage taken, the more powerful the return shot will be. Empress Anna was known to be a vengeful and spiteful woman to those who crossed her, inventing and enacting cruel and humiliating punishments for those transgressors, to both satisfy her wounded pride and to serve as an example to others.

Riding (D): Normally the class Skill of Rider and Saber Servants, this is the ability to ride mounts. This is a low rank that only allows the user to ride tame beasts, and does not grant the power to drive vehicles. As Caster says, an Empress does not ferry herself around. She is able instead to naturally assume the role of ‘passenger’ easily in any vehicle she travels in.

    Noble Phantasm

    Lednyanoy Dom
    Glittering Frozen Castle

(Anti-Unit, B): The original ‘Ice Palace’, a glittering folly commissioned by Anna to celebrate the end of Russia’s war with the Ottoman Empire during the frigid winter of 1739. The original palace was 20 meters tall and 50 meters wide. Huge ice blocks were "glued" together with water. The garden was filled with ice trees with ice birds and an ice statue of an elephant. The outer walls were lined with ice sculptures. Before the palace there were artillery pieces also made of ice. The palace was also furnished with furniture made of ice, including an ice bed with ice mattress and pillows. Though a monument of victory, this palace was also designed to humiliate and punish a courtier who had crossed Empress Anna. Forced to marry an ugly serving girl, Anna instated the couple as her jesters and orchestrated a farce of a wedding that was held in the ice palace; the couple was then stripped naked and locked in the palace’s bridal chamber, the transparent ice walls exposing them to the jeers of the court. They only managed to survive by smuggling fur blankets into the castle by bribing one of their jailors. It is therefore as an instrument of humiliation rather than a monument of victory that Lednyanoy Dom represents as Anna’s Noble Phantasm. Rather than a palace, it is a spell that summons a sphere of ice that she uses to imprison her opponents. Inside the cage, the prisoner’s weapons, armour and even clothing are stripped away, leaving them naked and shivering before Anna’s scorn. She is able to summon multiple cages at one time, and she will use them to decorate her territory, tormenting and torturing her prisoners at her leisure. The original ice palace melted away to nothing as Anna died of a painful illness, and thus her cages will last until either she breaths her last she or consents to free her prisoners (she will never do this voluntarily).

    Lore
    Likes: Winter
    Dislikes: Disobedience
    Talents: Cruel and unusual punishment
    Natural Enemy: Mikhail Alekseyevich Galitzine

Empress of Russia from 1730 -1740. Though her policies mainly served to advance Russia in the eyes of the world, turning into a country famed for culture and learning, her cruel and autocratic rule made her a feared and hated woman for many of her subjects, and her reign is occasionally described as a dark age.

Proud beyond belief, immensely petty, a patroness of culture, an ultimate sadist, all serve well to sum up Empress Anna. She will refuse to serve a Master, instead insisting that they are merely an attendant providing her with prana and care must be taken not to cross her, lest her Master end up in one of her cages. Coupled with her icy Noble Phantasm, Anna uses ice element magic as a Caster, and boasts to be able to freeze her foes with simply a glare. In addition, she is a keen huntress and was known for shooting animals from the windows of her castles, and as such has a keen eye. The rifle she arms herself with is a magic bullet firing Mystic Code of her own design.

That Return of Slight skill is really creative and I must say I do like the Noble Phantasm as well it's an embarrassing and effective equivalent of the 'Naughty Step'. But seriously we don't have enough Noble Phantasms based around imprisonment.

    Good job
