Isfandiyar: Royd, ya seem to be fond of making composite skills a lot as you make them quite a bit these days. If he was a champion of a religious movement like you said, just give him Protection of the Faith and one of the skills like Bravery separately.

His armours main effect is to just boost his endurance, the only real thing it has going for it is the luck reduction of his killer. Also given how the armour of Achilles isn't a noble phantasm and the consensus here that it shouldn't be in most circumstances doesn't make me think that the armour itself should be a noble phantasm. I recommend you either retool it or scrap it. The chain is basically just the chains of heaven but removing the divinity effect with skill loss and strengthening on magical ability. Also, binding ANY ability? You may wanna rephrase that. His variant of Haft Khan... it works. Simple but it does work considering his legend.

All together he seems like a half way house between Gilgamesh and Heracles without any divinity and with a Persian flavour.

therefore the "cthulhu in zero" rather than just "cthulhu"

i'm guessing there will be more on this in strange fake.
The idea was it was based on his works and the state of his mind that the actual Cthulhu and adopting his perceived visage. I'll go back and rephrase to prevent further confusion.

Yeah, I'm aware I use composite-type Skills a lot lately. Well to be honest, most of my original Skills are either composites or parameter-boosting ones (Isfandiyar happens to have examples of both). The armor is probably my favorite NP of his because of the flavor I put in regarding its appearance, so I'm definitely not going to scrap that. In some versions he bathed in a pool to be granted invulnerability, and in others it was from a magic armor so I combined it into 'water-armor'. Rather proud of that one, actually.

Also, his armor doesn't just boost Endurance but 'Armor Class' as well, which is admittedly rather ill-defined but it is a real term in Nasuverse (Bellerophon's description mentions it as 'boosting Armor Class'). I didn't want to go with the usual 'denial of attacks below a certain rank' since I'd already used a version of that for Rostam. And the chain only binds monstrous or sorcery-based abilities, not anything whatsoever.

In any case, thanks very much for the feedback.

Achilles' golden armor is a NP, he'd get it in Greece.
    Higashide's stated that before.

Sort of weird though in that he already has invulnerable skin. Just how tough would he be with that and the armor?

Newsflash: Achilles is a very strong Heroic Spirit

Except, yknow, we've known this for years.

I'm pretty sure we've known this since like the 8th century BC.

Update: After looking up Isfandiyar's legend a bit more, I decided to give him Grace Of God at rank C.

That's what higashide said and why he cut it from romanian achilles.

    Since I said so.

Also, the description listed on the wiki didn't list any effects at all beyond just flavor, so I had to fudge it a little bit. In any case, it fits Isfandiyar's legend and there is precedent for Skills taking on slightly different manifestations depending on the hero (Herc's Battle Continuation is different from Cu's, for instance), even at the same rank.

    Update 2nd: In case
    they don't
    anybody cares
I've just raised Isfandiyar's Grace Of God to C+ and clarified the Divinity bonus is unique to him rather then a generic one.

don't use things you don't understand no matter how enticing it looks, since there is no generic form of that skill.

bug MoC to change it to goodness of god or something to keep the alliteration but remove the implication of some kind of inherent divine power

so we can then argue over it being a commentary of alignment instead
