If you assume it's going on a D&Dish system, DR is by race and magical affinities while HP is based on class and level. CON only adds slight bonus to the latter.

Regardless of English fan fiction, Nasu cited D&D as a major influence and said clearly that 耐久 is supposed to be Constitution.

Obviously different rules but conceptually they should be similar.

    But, thanks for the context:

    I understand what you're saying.

EX would still work, if you decide to use it. It doesn't have to mean "higher than A", it just means that the normal five ranks can't quantify it.

    I see.
You don't happen to know or be able to guess which edition he was referring to, would you, mew? I've read that AD&D used to be very popular in Japan, but I have no idea if 3rd Edition had as much success.

Technically, DR is mostly based off class features. And if we're talking 3rd Edition Hit Points rule, CON can add a huge bonus!

Since its introduction all the way up to the present day, D&D in Japan has suffered from lack of translation, abortive translation attenpts, or poor translation. Actually quite similar to how TYPE-MOON is in the Anglosphere (even mirroring how nerds like me pick at translation faithfulness and accuracy), but the reason I bring it up is because they've basically always had to be years behind in the editions and books available to them.

Nasu started playing PnP RPGs in middle school, which would have been in the late 1980s. So he would have played either 1st or 2nd edition (I'd guess the latter). Here's the relevant quote, translation mine:

Quote Originally Posted by A Dream of Shimmering Stars, "Awareness of the World and its Rules"

Nasu: Actually, they were homebrew games in the beginning. D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) was great, but it was really expensive for middle schoolers. Then, our seniors told us “for poor folks like you, there’s T&T (Tunnels & Trolls)!” and gave us that to play, but we soon got bored of it because it was bland compared to D&D. In the end, it wasn't until quite some time later that we awakened to the joy of D&D. There were times where our original games didn’t work so well, and they kept building on themselves until it became something really complicated. Then our friend said, “I’ve got money, so let’s try D&D for real” and he bought a set. After we tried that, the scales fell from my eyes. I was surprised at how one could make a game so fun yet so simple. So, my conclusion was that D&D was key to the experience.

Interesting. I guess that's why they developed so many systems of their own?
    Many thanks!

Because the most common DR available to PCs is */-, and that's mostly granted by class features from base classes or prestige classes, like a Barbarian's DR or "Tome of Battle" maneuvers.

That's only if you're being boring and vanilla about your D&D builds.

Interesting Helgi sheet. Her NP is clearly a lot like God Hand what with the reviving and needing to be killed different ways each time, but it's almost like a reverse God Hand in that, while Herc gets basically stronger with each regen, she gets actively weaker. That helps make it a lot more flavorful then just a generic God Hand rip.

    Caster

    True Name: Adam Weishaupt
    Alignment: Lawful Good
    Place of Origin: Germany
Likes: Conspiration theories, American dollars and social networks
Dislikes: Bavarian nobility, the Church, ignorance
    Talent: Sociability
    Natural Enemy: Charles Theodore

    Strength - E
    Endurance - E
    Agility - E
    Mana - EX
    Luck - C

    Class Skills:

Territory Creation (A): At this rank, construction of a "Secret Underground Complexe of World Domination" becomes possible.

Item Construction (B): While the normal rank should be D, as long as Caster is within the Ordo Templi it rises to B.

    Personal Skills:

Urban Legend (EX): A skill representing one's existance as a being worshipped in some form in the current era. While Caster himself isn't much of an urban legend, the organisation he created has become outrageously famous in modern time, some people even still fervently believing in its existance, making him similar to a Divine Spirit in some aspect. As long as there are people to believe in his organisation, a certain quantity of prana will be supplied to Caster; just enough to exist and perform simple tasks. However, fighting and the use of Noble Phantasms require supply from the Master.

Golden Rule (A): A skill Caster originally shouldn't possess. Thanks to the manipulation of money flow, money problems are unknown.

Innocent Monster (A): Because of the conspiracy theories surrounding Caster and his organisation, his appearance and his abilities have been greatly modified. In fact, if not for said conspiracy theories Caster wouldn't even fit as a Heroic Spirit. As far as appearance goes, Caster's head has been replaced with a small pyramid and the Eye of Providence. Also, Caster obtains the equivalent of rank B Magecraft.

Rationalism (B): A preference for a rational way of thinking rather than religious. The main goal of Caster's organisation was to fight obscurantism and to spread rationalism. Artifacts and magecraft from the Church (such as Black Keys, shrouds, sacraments and even miracles) are much less effective on Caster.

    Noble Phantasms:

    Illuminatenorden
Secret Society of the Enlightened Utopia
(Anti-Army, Anti-Unit Self) (D): This Noble Phantasm is the only one that is proper to Caster as it symbolizes the true nature of the Bavarian Illuminaty Caster founded. That is to say a close social group. Caster can designate someone as being part of the Illuminatenorden with the agreement of both party, regardless of whther their a Servant or a Human. Members of the Illuminatenorden all possess the ability to communicate with other members through telepathy and to share informations at the speed of thought, allowing for otimized strategy. Moreover, taking advantage of the educational aspect of the organisation, a member can teach another one of their skill at a lower rank, except those those specific to the Servant. Caster can seldom decide to remove someone from the organisation, but isn't it sad to lose friends? It sure is!

    Illuminati
Reptilian Superhuman Leading the World with the Help of Aliens
(Anti-World, Anti-Unit Self, Anti-Army) (EX): This Noble Phantasm is the symbolisation of the conspiracy theories and the legends surrounding the Illuminati and Caster. Actually, it is rather the ability to distort reality through the use of conspiration theories, or the creation of Mystery from nothing. Basically, as long as people outside the Illuminatenorden believe Caster is capable of X, X becomes one of his abilities. Whether it is as simple as "having assassinated George Washington and having taken his place" or as crazy as "having a basement full of Phantasmal Beasts", as long as people believe it is not outside of Caster's reach! Depending on the effect, the other members of the Illuminatenorden may be affected. However, once a large enough number of people stop believing in his lies, the abilities born from the latters will be lost. Moreover, if the very nature of Illuminati is discovered, all the powers gained through its ability will disappear. But there's no reason to distrust your friend, right?! Caster can also choose the name of his Noble Phantasms.

Still, there are three Noble Phantasms that are included in Illuminati from the beginning due his twisted existance. The first is [ruby=Ordo Templi]My Very Own Secret Building of World Domination!, a Noble Phantasm that manifest as a giant pyramidal building buried in the ground and covered in Eyes of Providence, and it is close in existance to a Pseudo-Reality Marble. Technically, it acts as Caster's secret HQ where he should be making his plans to conquer the world, though in practice it acts like a Temple to him, greatly boosting his magical abilities. Because its very essence is that of "something which shouldn't even exist", it doesn't really have a definite appearance, and Caster can shape the inside of Ordo Templi as he likes. He still has to put a door somewhere; wouldn't like to be stuck in there!

By the way, he can shoot a laser from his eye!

    The second Noble Phantasm is
    Alien Technologies
    Pew pew, pew pew!
, a set of weapons made by aliens and which he received as a sign of friendship. Actually, because Caster cannot possess something that the Grail cannot comprehend, they're basically all canons firing projectiles made of True Ether. All of them are set inside his Ordo Templi because he is too lazy to carry them around. And they're too heavy! Their fire attacks of rank A, but they can reach rank EX if more prana is put into it.

By the way, he used to be a Knight of the Round Table!

The last Noble Phantasm is called
    New World Order
    Peek-a-Boo, I see You!
: it is the materialization of the idea that "Illuminati keeps the world under observation at all moment". Within a twenty kilometers radius around Ordo Templi, Caster can observe everything that is going on thanks to a super clairvoyance! But he respect the intimacy of his friends! Only places protected by a Bounded Field can escape his eyes. It can only go as far as observation though.

By the way, he is the one who truly control the gacha!

    Lore
Adam Weishaupt was a XVIIIth century teacher and philosopher who was heavily influenced by his professor of law at the University of Ingoldstadt. There was two things he was most interested in: rationalism and making friends. Most outraged by the influence of obscurantism, and due to the large number of secret societies at that time, Adam decided to found his own organisation which would later become all too famous as the order of Illuminati. His original goals, however, had nothing to do with world domination and he was more interested in preaching freedom and humanity, and effectively fight against obscurancism. However, the Prince-Elector Charles Theodore didn't like the strong influence of secret societies, and fered they would lead to a revolution. Adam's Illuminati were thus infiltrated by Charles' agents and disbanded. As for poor Adam, he was exiled to another duchy. That was the end of the short-lived Illuminati organisation.

Or so it should have been, but because of people's tendency to demonize Adam and the fact he was the founder of a secret organisation, the name Illuminati was carved into history as the figurehead of conspiration theories. As a result, not only has Weishaupt become a rather strange Heroic Spirit, but his very essence has been distorted.

By the way, this sheet was written by him!

    Personality
Caster is very lively and friendly individual who is surprisingly laid back for a XVIIIth century noble. Maybe it's because his unique existance is screwing with his brain, or maybe it's his contact with modern society which had this effect. At any rate, he doesn't sound like the diabolical man who alledgely planned to take over the world. Though it makes him a bit sad that his organisation's true goal has been forgotten, he actually find the numerous conspiracion theories built around it very funny and entertaining. Rathern he sees them as some kind of imaginative fanfictions and he has a blast reading them. He is also a very social person at heart, and the new way of communication the modern world has to offer truly passionate him. After being summoned, he would immediatly create an account to every social networks existing. Every one of them.

As someone who preached morality and humanity in the hope of creating a utopian society, Caster is also very likely to sympathize with his Master if the latter is a good person. If they're bad at heart however, Caster'd see no reason to help them. However, he can sometimes be too optimistic and naive, and he isn't above being tricked by a malevolent Master

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not very happy with my Face Claim but this is the closest I have found to what I was looking for. Rather, you can simply imagin him as a man with a suit and the Illumati symbol in place of head.

    Class: Rider
    Source : Historical facts, Australia
True Name : Old Tom, The Killer of Eden
    Height/Weight : 22 feet/ 6 ton
    Gender: Male
    Master : -
    Alignment: True Wild
    Attribute : ?

    Parameter :
    STR : A
    END : A
    AGI : A+
    LCK : E
    MGC : E
    NP : A

    Appearance and Character :
Old Tom have a similar appearance from the rest of our pods, or so that's what humans says. Its not like he doesn't have distinctions from his pods, on the contrary, he is a very handsome individual. From the sexy scars he earned, his cute white patch, till his disoriented teeth- he is so attractive to the point that he leads the pods, which supposedly leaded by a female in our culture, Kinscher our de facto leader.

Like the rest of the pods, he like tongue the most, and dislikes bomb. Tongue are full of umami, and bomb can harm your allies rather than saving them. As the leader of the group, he handle all diplomatic things with humans. In case something goes wrong, he handle everything in peace, what a natural leader! We also have mutual dislikes toward blades or other sharp weapons, those are scary!

Despite Gaia's order to murder those problem child, that is human, we ended up way attached to this mutual relationship. That's why, perhaps it actually the will of Gaia, some humans ended up betrayed us... But I still believe in those who fight with us everyday.

My name is Typee, the most poetic of us. And the first victim of humans betrayal.

    Class Skill :

    Riding A
A Skill that represent one's expertise to rode a mount. Unlike the usual case, which this Skill allow the Servant to ride mounts, this skill allow anyone that selected by Rider to mount him. However, that's doesn't mean the person have the control over Rider. Rider still control whatever actions he will do, perhaps he will listen to his Master's reasoning, but the decisions ultimately on his control. In this sense, Rider was in fact, "riding" the person who ride him.

    Magic Resistance E
A Skill that allow Rider to cancel Single Action spell. Never encountering any magic in his life, this Skill only given to Rider by his container.

    Personal Skill :

    Wild Instinct A
A power to sense the best action for itself during battles. Unlike the Skill "Instinct" which provide nearly analytical or rational judgement, this Skill provide an animalistic instinct to Rider. The ability to sensing danger is already a second nature, to the point it reaches the level which Rider can sensed it without any basis.

    Natural Selection A
The process whereby organisms better adapted to their environment tend to survive. A way of evolution that Gaia approve, without any means to interfere with the established rules of the earth. If by any chances Rider screwed over and got away with it, he will gain immunity from said miss judgement. Rider is one of Gaia most intellectual lifeform, which mean Rider have high chance to successfully activate this Skill.

    Adjustment A
The ability to adjust a Servant to compete with the other Servants. This is not the case where the Class Container buff Servants to fit the parameter, but rather, adjust said Servant's parameter to be powerful enough to fit its original purpose.

In case of Rider, he was supposed to be a creature that fast, intelligent and powerful enough to crush humans with a powerful crutch. Because of it, the ability to do so had been adjusted to make him fast, sentient, and powerful enough to fight a Servant.

Because it would be troublesome if Rider can't fight outside his natural habitat, Rider has been given the ability to levitate.

    NOBLE PHANTASM :

Killers of Eden : The Friendly Killers, Mutual Companion
    Rank : A
    Range : 1
    Anti-Unit

A Noble Phantasm that summon the Killers of Eden, Rider's faithful pods in his hunt. Summon the other 20 pods to assist Rider and his Master to fight their enemy. All 20 are Servants, with exact parameter as Rider, but lack his Skill with Adjustment's levitating ability is an exception.

The Killers of Eden can be commanded by Rider, creating numerous tactics to takedown their foe. Whatever it's barrage of swift strikes, tactical bites, to straight up gang up their enemy. This Noble Phantasm, despite summoning a group capable taking down an army, is best suited to take down a single enemy, which is why it classified as Anti-Unit type Noble Phantasm.

With the exception of Rider, Old Tom. The Killers of Eden consist of : de facto leader Kinscher (female), Hooky the hooked, Humpy the hump, Cooper the greedy, Typee the poet, Jackson the bully, Stranger the shy, Big Ben the giant, Young Ben the dwarf, Jimmy the normie, Sharkey the cruel, Charlie Adgery the Brit, Brierly the brief, Albert the loyal, Youngster the young, Walker the fast, Big Jack the tall, Little Jack the small, Skinner the scarred and Montague that never shut up.

As Rider is the anchor to summon them, killing Rider will automatically kill the others. This NP also take a lot of Mana to use, on par with those extremely powerful NP like Excalibur, Ionian Heteroi and Enuma Elish. Combined with the abyssal magical energy that Rider had, it extremely dependent on his Master's Mana. Luckily, Rider able to summon his pods individually, resulting smaller Mana usage. Killing one of the Killers of Eden will permanently killed said individual.

    Lore

Big Tom was the leader of a killer whales pods called the Killer of Eden, a pods of killer whales that assist humans to hunt whales. They were the origins of the misleading name Killer Whale, which supposed to refer these whale eating dolphins. Because of it, it could be said that they carry the mystery of the entire species, becoming the representative of the orca. But such thing shouldn't be enough to enter animals into the Throne, what make them qualified because their contribution to humans and become a legend that rival a human hero.

The Killer of Eden remains on mutual relationship with humans for 90 years, from the 19th till the 20th century. It first started when humans began assisting the pods to take down a whale, combined with the already highly social killer whale, an alliance were quickly forged. The pods were developing an unique diet, that is only eating whale's tongue, while humans eat the meats, which benefit greatly for both of them. The alliance even evolving into companionship, to the point where the pods alerting humans if a prey on sight, the humans in return would help the pods if they were in danger. One or two, three of multiple disaster had happened, like the humans accidentally shot the pods, or the pods destroying humans boat in their wake- nevertheless they were in fact a fire forged friends.

With this highly effective inter-species alliance, there are no species that able to stop them. However, despite the fact that this method of hunting doesn't reduce the number of whales compared they would able to reproducing an offspring- it seems the earth itself disapprove such relationship. Perhaps a mutual bond between killer whale and humans is disregarding the will of the earth by itself. So the earth send a "messenger", under the guise of a human, kill one of the pod. A distrust happened, humans and killer whales are unable to work together as effective like before, and another victims happened and happened from both side because various reason. But still, the bond between the leaders were so powerful that- until the very end, both leaders stay friend.

Old Tom wish for Holy Grail is simple, as he already given up to the will of the earth, he only wish that the rest of the pods can eat whale's tongue forever without care.

    True Name
    : Jimi Hendrix
    Class: Caster
    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

    Stats
    STR: E
    END: E
    AGI: B
    MGI: B
    LCK: D

    Class Skills
    Territory Creation: C-
Capable of creating a “stage” where Caster is capable of performing music.

    Item Creation: E
All Caster is able to create is guitars and amps, due to only being a musician, and not a magus.

    Personal Skills
    Pioneer of the Stars: EX
A skill given to heroes that become turning points in human history. All difficult voyages and challenges which are considered “impossible” turn into “events that can be realized.” Caster’s music had an incredible influence over guitarists both during and after his lifetime, and as a result his effect on modern music is undisputable.

    Rebel Yell: B
A skill given to those who spoke out against “The Man.” Negates the ability of Charisma and Golden Rule of equal or lower rank.

    High-Speed Strumming: B
An ability held by legendary guitarists. Caster’s incredible guitar playing allows him to fire off supersonic blasts of magical energy through soundwaves.

    Concept Improvement: C-
A skill that takes a certain concept and subsequently improves it. As this skill only applies to music, it is rather low.

    Noble Phantasm
    Purple Haze: B+
One of Caster’s first hit songs, this song encapsulates the psychedelic style found in his music. When this song is played, a purple fog is emitted from Caster’s guitar all around the battlefield. As it spreads, it intoxicates the enemy, reducing their agility by one rank, and disturbing their senses. All allies within the fog will receive a slight boost to their strength, at the cost of some mental strength, similar to a weak Mad Enhancement.

All Along the Watch Tower: E-EX
One of Caster’s most popular songs. Recorded as a cover of Bob Dylan’s original song, Caster’s version was so popular that even its creator said that Caster’s version was superior. This Noble Phantasm can only be used once Caster has seen another Servant’s Noble Phantasm. That Noble Phantasm will determine the rank and strength of this ability. When this Noble Phantasm is invoked, a massive tower made of amplifiers appears. Caster appears atop this tower and begins to play the song this Noble Phantasm is named after. The amplifiers release soundwaves of magical energy in a radius extending up to 1-mile. These soundwaves are equal in power to the rank of the Noble Phantasm it is based on, with a (+) modifier added on thanks to Concept Improvement.

    Lore
Jimi Hendrix is known as one of the greatest guitar players of all time. His style of psychedelic rock shocked audiences at the time, and popularized the high volume and high feedback now associated with rock and metal music. Discharged from the military at a young age due to being unfit for service, Hendrix found his calling as a part of The Jimi Hendrix Experience. A legend among guitar players, many musicians thought it was an honor to have him cover one of their songs. However, as with many rock stars before and after him, Hendrix had a long battle with substance abuse. When he drank, he turned cruel, releasing all his bottled up rage and frustration. Eventually he died after an overdose of sleeping pills, though the details his death is still widely disputed to this day. His wish is to have another chance to play his guitar, whether for his fans, or his enemies in the Holy Grail War.

This is one I mentioned doing a while back. I've kept him in my mind, wondering how to make him work, and I finally got around to making this sheet. Pioneer of the Stars is mostly there to explain how he can damage heroes, since he's such a modern servant. I tried to make his skills revolve around the image of a rock star, with a lot of emphasis of fighting against authority. Let me know what you guys think!

He's pretty amusing. You were inspired by my Elvis sheet from a while ago, right? Skills are well chosen, particularly Rebel Yell and High-Speed Strumming.

Purple Haze... good thing it's not as powerful as Fugo's version, or we'd all really be in trouble!

    Servant Rider:

    True Name: Dullahan

    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

    Alternate Classes: Saber, Berserker, Assassin

    Strength- D
    Agility- A+
    Endurance- EX
    Mana- B
    Luck- E
    NP- B++

    Equipment:
A whip-sword made from a sharpened human spine. In its collapsed form it can be used for regular slashing, while the blade can also shoot out to became a long, razor-edged whip allowing for omni-directional lashing attacks. While not a Noble Phantasm, it is a powerful supernatural armament that can hold up against legendary weapons. Though dubious whether she ever wielded this ghastly armament in her original legends, its strong association with her in the modern era allow for Rider to possess it upon summoning.

    Appearance:

While normally carrying her head in her hands as depicted above, Rider can attach it to her neck in order to blend in amongst humans, though it can fall off with extreme movement.

    History
Though Rider's true name has been lost to history, she is now known as the Dullahan or headless horse(wo)man of Irish Mythology. Said to roam the earth, carrying her severed head aloft in search of human souls. Wherever her spectral wagon stopped, it was certain a man would die. Rider would call out the victim's name and they would drop dead on the spot, their very soul drawn into her essence.

While her true nature and origins are wreathed in mystery, Rider is thought to be a corruption of Crom Dubh, or Black Crom, an Irish fertility god from fifteen hundred years ago. Crom was worshipped by Tighermas, a pre-historic king of Ireland who performed human sacrifice in the god's name, the primary method of such being decapitation. Worship of her continued up until the sixth century, when the arrival of Christian missionaries (along with the Age Of Gods coming to an end) banished most of the old gods and the oft-barbaric rituals performed in their name.

However, while other gods faded to nothing entirely, Crom endured. No longer receiving worship or sacrifices, the once mighty Divine Spirit began to be driven mad by an unquenched hunger for human souls. The goddess was forced to debase herself, abandoning most of her divinity and taking upon a tangible form to haunt the human world in pursuit of the souls that she desperately craved.

As word spread of her existence and terrifying nature, she became known as 'Dullahan' or 'La Darocha' (Dark Man); the tangible embodiment of death.

In this state she is no longer a god but a monster, driven by hunger and instinct. While most of her embraces this new guise, the deepest part of Rider's heart hates herself for what she is and yearns to regain her former glory as a Divine Spirit.

    Personality
Stoic and taciturn. Rider finds speech difficult and mostly expresses herself through inarticulate roars and cries, as well as hand gestures. When she does speak, her voice comes out rough and labored, as if taking great care in pronouncing each and every syllable. Any Master would be wise to teach her sign language in order to foster effective communication.

While she gives the manner of a brute, Rider's heart is that of a gentle and caring woman who abhors the senseless deaths of innocents. As a being that needs souls to survive, she will hunt and kill humans in order to satiate herself, but will never do so out of sadism or beyond what is strictly needed for survival. Since she only does what is necessary to continue her own existence, while her deeds may indeed be 'evil' Rider herself cannot truly be called such. In that regard, she is like a wild animal.

With an agreeable Master, Rider is likely to seek out... other ways of supplying herself with magical energy in the Grail War to avoid killing. While making for an affectionate and loyal companion in that regard, her 'appetites' are rather ravenous so one must exercise due caution in indulging her. For some strange reason, Rider has a crippling phobia of gold. Upon seeing even the smallest piece of it, she will immediately let out a terrified girlish shriek and attempt to run away, often hiding behind her own Master if they're nearby. While a rather comedic display, one must be careful lest this jeopardize her in a fight.

Because of how they essentially turned her from a god into a monster, Rider bears an incredibly strong animosity towards any and all Christian Heroic Spirits. The strongest grudge is reserved towards Saint Patrick, who led the missionary efforts in Ireland. This is a digression, but she also holds fondness towards a certain Dullahan from Japanese pop culture nowadays. Being as most of her ilk are treated as mere monsters, seeing one portrayed as a sympathetic and heroic character truly warms Rider's heart.

While she has difficulty articulating it, Rider's wish is to finally cast off her monstrous nature and return to being a Divine Spirit. To no longer exist as the Dullahan that claims men's souls but as a goddess receiving worship from the people. Though, she would like a way to survive without human sacrifice...

Likes: a filling meal, worship, a certain fictional Dullahan
Dislikes: gold, senseless slaughter, being treated as a monster
    Talent: heralding demise
    Natural Enemy: Saint Patrick

    Class Skills:

    Riding- A+
Ability to ride animals. At this rank, both Phantasmal and Divine Beasts can be used as mounts, but not the Dragon-Kind.

    Magic Resistance- B

Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Proves difficult to affect even the likes of High Thaumaturgy or Greater Rituals. Even with her divine aspect heavily diluted, Rider's identification with the Celtic god Crom Dubh has granted her a high rank in this Skill.

    Personal Skills:

    Clairvoyance- B
Enhanced visual perception. At this rank, Rider is capable of accurate tracking in an eight-kilometer range and able to target things that move high speeds. She also gains slight precognition, along with an ability to see through some forms of magical guise. In legend, the Dullahan was possessed of supernatural sight. By holding her severed head aloft, she is able to see across for vast distances across the countryside even in the darkest of nights. No victims can escape from Rider's accursed gaze, no matter where they lie.

    Divinity- E-
Qualifies one's Divine Spirit aptitude. Rider was alleged to be an embodiment of the ancient fertility god Crom Dubh, or Black Crom. While normally this would grant her an aptitude comparable to the deities of minor cults and the forgotten gods of yore, taking a tangible form has severely restricted Rider's godly essence. That, combined with the degradations her name received under Christianity and her present existence as a monstrous spirit, combine to insure Rider only barely still qualifies as of divine nature.

    Battle Continuation- EX
Ability to continue combat despite injuries and battle fatique. Since her body is essentially an 'automaton' directed by her severed head, Rider is capable of ignoring all but the most crippling forms of damage and injury so long as her head remains intact. As her head contains her spiritual core, targeting it is necessary to truly destroy 'Heroic Spirit Rider'.

    Dread Visage- A+

Ability to strike fear into others through one's form and manner. At this rank, Rider's presence strikes fear into all but the most seasoned of warriors. Any foe without a high ranking in Bravery or equivalent Skills must pass a Luck check lest they flee from battle in a blind terror. Rider is considered a herald of death and so her presence naturally brings the fear of such.

    Noble Phantasms

    Coiste Bodhar
    Silent Phantom Coach
    (A+, Anti-Army):
While the most common legends record Rider as atop a single ebony steed in her search for human souls, some versions have her driving an entire jet black funeral couch. Known as coach-a-bower, its true Irish name is 'Coiste Bodhar', meaning a deaf or silent coach, and was believed to be a spectral harbinger of death alongside Rider herself.

That coach makes up Rider's primary Noble Phantasm. An ebony hearse the size of a war chariot, decorated all across with macabre regalia. Candles are set into a pair of grinning skills on the coach's front to light the way, the wheel-spokes are made from thigh-bones and the wagon's covering is a dessicated funeral shroud. It is pulled by a team of six magnificent stallions with jet black fur, billowing smoky manes and terrifying glowing red eyes. Originally Divine Beasts like Rider herself, their godly aspect has been diluted to the level of mere monsters.

Rider's vehicle is capable of traversing the terrain at supernatural speeds, setting the surrounding environment alight from the incredible friction. Like its name implies, the coach is utterly silent as it tears across the night, both in terms of actual sound and magical energy. The hearse gives off a surprisingly little amount of Mana even when fully active, difficult to detect by all but the most honed Magi.

Along with the coach's physical aspect, there is also a potent conceptual effect surrounding Rider's otherworldly vehicle. Legends state that all gates or barriers, no matter how firmly they were locked, would fly open to let the Dullahan pass. Crystallizing this, any kind of barrier or defense between Rider and her chosen target will cease to function while she's atop the hearse. This includes mundane locks or chains, which will fall apart within a certain range, as well as supernatural shields or Bounded Fields which Rider can pass through without hindrance. This even applies to defensive abilities surrounding one's body, such as God Hand, which will be bypassed by a direct ramming attack from the coach.

Rather then an ability that destroys defense through overwhelming power, it is one that simply avoids it altogether by causing all barriers to 'open' in Rider's path. There is nothing that can stand in the way between the Dullahan and her victim. Nothing.

Without invoking the True Name to call it into being from the Netherworld, Rider can also summon one of the jet-black horses as her mount rather then the entire carriage at a far lessened expense of magical energy. These horses are greatly swift and formidable Phantasmal Beasts, but lack the special attributes possessed by the coach as a whole.

    Dullahan's Cry
    Harbinger Of Demise
    (B++, Anti-Unit):
Crystallization of the most famous and terrifying anecdote surrounding the Dullahan. It was said that anyone who heard Rider's voice calling their name would perish instantly, their soul ripped from their body and absorbed into her essence. That legend takes form as her most powerful and dangerous Noble Phantasm. Rather then adopting a tangible form, it is simply embodied through Rider's voice itself. To invoke it, Rider merely opens her mouth, eyes glowing red as she lets out a deafening scream that pierces the air. This scream releases a powerful sonic blast from Rider's mouth, visible in the form of concentric waves of magical energy that scour the landscape. Anyone unlucky enough to hear Rider's cry will have their soul and magical energy literally torn out of their body, drawn into her gaping maw in a swirling vacuum of sound.

While normally Rider would need to call out the target's name for it to be effective, as a Heroic Spirit this ability has been boosted to the point where simply hearing Rider's inhuman cry is enough to rob the souls of ordinary humans. Used in a crowd her voice becomes a weapon of mass destruction, able to potentially drain the souls from hundreds of humans at once and greatly bolster her own Mana. However, Rider's own somewhat kind personality insures that she will refuse utterly to utilize her Noble Phantasm for purposes of mass slaughter. Only a Command Seal will force her to stoop to such an unseemly deed and, even then, she is likely to kill any Master that would make her do such a thing afterwards.

Against Heroic Spirits and those with high magical potential, the original constraint of needing to know the target's name applies fully. This is a major weakness regarding using it on Heroic Spirits, whose names are usually kept secret. While there is no conventional defense against hearing Rider's call, because of its nature as a curse a high enough rank in Luck provides some chance of survival. Also, as a curse that targets the souls of 'humans', it becomes less effective the more one's aptitude as a human being declines. Factors such as Divinity or a monstrous attribute greatly lower this Noble Phantasm's effects.

Lastly, actually hearing Rider's cry is a necessary precondition for one's soul to be stolen. If one sees the attack coming and realizes its nature, simply covering up one's ears or drowning it out with an equally loud sound is an adequate defense.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, a couple people on the old CaS thread talked about making a Dullahan Servant but as far as I know, never got around to it so I decided to write one up myself. Once I read up on her lore, I was struck by inspiration and the entire thing was written out last night and this morning. I think she honestly could be one of my favorite Servants I've done, simply because of how much fun it was to write her. (In particular, I feel I fleshed out her personality pretty well)

As always, be sure to drop by with comments and criticisms! Otherwise you might get a visit from a certain Dullahan... *shot*

I've seen a few versions of the Dullahan and with the character is portrayed here and with the skills and NP's all working together well, this one is probably my favourite.

I think she could only qualify as a Rider, but hey.

    Glad you like her!

I'd expect she could definitely qualify as Assassin at least, since her legend is essentially all about death and killing people.

Haven't seen this guy done yet myself so I figured I'd give it a shot.

    Source: (X)

    Class: Shielder
    True Name: Ruggiero
    Alignment: Neutral Good
    Place of Origin: Africa France
    Attribute: Earth
    Traits: Human
    Armament:
    Armour, Sword, Shield

    STR: C+
    END: B
    AGI: D
    MGI: C
    LCK: EX
    NP: B

    Height/Weight: 174cm/54kg
    Likes: Atlante, Bradamante <3
    Dislikes: Being manipulated
Talent: Defying fate, "Damsel in Distress"
    Natural Enemy: Atlante

    Class Skills:
    • Magic Resistance (C) - Cancel spells with a chant below two verses. Cannot defend against Magecraft on the level of High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals. Although his natural resistance is unbecoming of the class due to experiencing weakness to magic on multiple occasions, it is maximised by usage of his Noble Phantasms.
    • Riding (A+) - Creatures on the level of Phantasmal Beast and Divine Beast can be used as mounts. However, that does not apply to members of the Dragon Kind.
    • Self-Field Defence (C) - A power displayed when protecting allies or an allied camp. Exhibits damage reduction surpassing the defensive limit value, but Shielder himself is not included as a target. Also, the higher the Rank, the more protective range spreads.

    Personal Skills:
    • Bravery (A) - The ability to negate mental interference such as pressure, confusion and fascination.
    • Disengage (A) - The ability to break away from combat. Bonus effect of returning battle conditions to what they were at the beginning of the match. Ruggiero often escaped battles via Hippogriff, with or without his consent on the matter.
    • Faithful Knight (C) - A skill that is based around one fighting for their faith and beliefs. One's defensive power is increased and resists mental influence of the same level.
    • Romance of the Battlefield (B+) - A skill that causes parameters to rise when fighting for someone they hold dear. Whenever he are protecting something closely related to his legend, his parameters gain a 'Rank Up'. When fighting for someone he loves, his parameters rise by an additional rank.

"Ah... Even on this bloodied wasteland, beauty still exists. Like a poppy rising from the trench. Tell me, do you think love can blossom even on the battlefield?

    Noble Phantasms

Balisard The Witchblade (Anti-Unit) (B) - A splendid magical weapon forged by the infamous Morgan le Fay. It is a large two handed greatsword engraved with farie letters, purposefully designed to mirror the Sword of Promised Victory in terms in imagery. However it has a somewhat twisted appearance that mirrors the witch's preferred aesthetic.

It possesses with it a sizable enchanted blade with magic woven into it "that no magic or armour could stop". Any form of magical enchantment, spell, etc that comes into contact with the sword is immediately nullified. This would allow to bypass armour if forged from magic and cancel out spells made to attack him such as Rain of Light… provided Ruggiero manage to contact each spell directed at him. It also can nullify even Noble Phantasms that are based around magic.

Additionally, this sword was designed for the purpose of killing the paladin Roland himself, which would give Ruggiero an advantage over Roland in battle.

Carena Marvellous Polished Shield (Barrier) (B) -
A large and magical shield created by the wizard Atlante and later taken by Ruggiero. This special shield has well polished reflective surface that allows it to function as a mirror. Its reflective surface allows Ruggiero to reflect sunlight and certain magical attacks in a desired angle at full power. It also possesses the same enchantment as the Illusory Iron Fortress of Atlantes that Ruggiero must invoke the name of the Noble Phantasm to activate; to blind those who look upon the shield with a brilliant white light and temporarily incapacitate them. The light is magical in nature and can by bypassed with Magic Resistance of equal or higher rank.

    Lore

A saracen knight descended from Hector of Troy. Raised as an orphan, he was raised by the African sorcerer Atlante. Ruggiero was a kind, loyal, intelligent and respectful as a child and Atlante was the best parent Ruggiero could ever ask for.

When Atlante looked through the Book of Fates; Ruggiero was shown to be fated to marry the female knight Bradamante and sire a long lineage of heroes only to be murdered shortly afterwards, or instead lead the Saracen army and destroy the Frankish empire lead by Charlemange. Atlante took a third option and kept Ruggiero hidden away in an invisible Iron Fortress in Mount Carena but without him they would be doomed.

The thief Brunello was sent by the Saracen's to steal a magical ring from princess Angelica that would break the spell of illusion by removing all enchantments from one's eyes. Upon his return, the Saracen king Agramante found the hidden castle and lured him out with the promise of tournaments. Ruggiero participated in a grand melee and was victorious, his skill made him one of the top knights in the army.

When sent off in a large battle against the Franks, Ruggiero and Roland who were the champions of their armies met on the field of battle and their duel made all other participants of the battle look like armatures. The ensuing duel ended in a draw due to outside interuption but in the chaos, he encountered Bradamante. With neither aware of the prophecies around Ruggiero, the two had an instantaneous attraction and perfect chemistry. When she is assaulted by his fellow Saracen warriors in a cowardly sneak attack he helped her kill them in combat.

After the battle, Atlante had Ruggiero spirited away from Bradamante - fearing the inevitable death that would occur if he remained with her. Atlante then decided the best way to save Ruggiero was to keep him trapped in the fortress forever. Yandere?

How he managed to trip and fall onto a trained hippogriff will never be known.

Bradamante followed Ruggieo and after stealing the magic ring, single handily stormed the fortress to rescue him. Ruggiero stole a magic shield and using its power managed to blind Atlante and escape with Bradamante, reuniting the now-lovers.

Ruggiero then tripped and fell on another hippogriff and flew off to god knows where (god knows where being an island near India). The ruler of the island, the enchantress Alcina found him attractive and used her magic to make him forget about Bradamante and lust for her instead. Ruggiero stayed on this island for a period, for without Bradamante, why should he leave? Then the good sorceress Melissa - rival to Alcina - appeared and restored his memory. Disgusted by the way Alcina violated his mind, he hopped on the hippogrif that took him there to his home. However there was a benefit to this, it made him realise just how much he loved Bradamante.

On the way home, he encountered princess Angelica from earlier and rescued her from a hideous orc/sea-serpent hybrid monster whom she had been sacrificed to. Finally he was no longer a damsel in distress himself.

Upon returning home, he reunited with Bradamante and married her. At the wedding feast, Rodomonte, a Saracen general, appears at the wedding feast and accuses Ruggiero of betraying the Saracen cause. The two knights duel, and Ruggiero succeeds in killing Rodomonte and started a family - defying both prophecies set for him.

    Personality

A fierce and proud warrior who loves the thrill of the battle. He is a chivalrous man who firmly believes in justice, compassion and order, like many of his time. He obeys most orders without question - just any knight. He is very proud of his combat skills, mainly because no one else is. He is really embarrassed of his long streak of slip-ups and accidents and can be easily teased to the point of turning into a blushing mess within a minute.

Due to basically every woman he met being strong and shaped his life in one way or another, he is highly respectful of women.

"I hit like a girl. That an insult? Have you met my wife!?"

    Tactics

With utilising his Noble Phantasms, Shielder functions almost as a 'Anti-Caster' heroic spirit and would likely have a great advantage over them in any form of combat. However, his physical might is lacking in comparison to his fortitude and so would likely have trouble in a direct fight against higher tier servants.

However he can be utilised to the fullest with his personal skills empowering him the closer he is to you. One could build a rapport with him over time to improve his power on the field or but he will turn down the idea or anything romantic due to him still loving Bradamante. An unscrupulous master could forgo a command spell to make him forget Bradamante and another to fall in love with you. If he finds out his mind was twisted against his will however, it will not end well.

    -----------------------------------

I didn't include the hippogriff as a Noble Phantasm as I thought they were better associated with Atlantes and I didn't want him to similar to Astolfo. That and I actually remembered the unique class skill shielders have for once.

Nice Rugiero. Chanson de geste is my favorite myth since toddler.

@RoydGolden I had the idea of making him for a while, but yeah your Elvis sheet did influence how I went with him when making the sheet, especially with his skills. Rebel Yell was actually the hardest skill for me to get right. I was originally going to go with Nature of a Rebellious Spirit, or other skills like it, but none of them felt right for me. Oddly enough Jojo was a good inspiration for that one, I got the name from Billy Idol's song of the same name. Also, haven't gotten to part 5 yet, but it's the one I'm looking forward to most after I finish part 4.
