The image is not working, but I can say I'm already incredibly amused by you comparing a facão and a kunai (I really don't see the similarities my dude).

Also, its facão (at least I think that's what you mean), "faca" is just knife.

Having read the sheet, it's pretty damn cool but I spotted a few mistakes. First, Assassins don't have Riding as a Class Skill. Also, dimensional refraction (like Kojiro's Tsubame Gaeshi) falls under the Second Magic. The Third is materialization of the soul, which I'm pretty sure isn't what you had in mind.

Oh. He's... An actual ninja. That's... Unfortunate.

Honestly I don't like it at all, why even make him Lampião at this point? Would be better to make this an actual member of the Fuuma clan.

Also, just correcting some Portuguese, it should be Arte Cangaceira (meaning Cangaço Arts) or Arte dos Cangaceiros (Arts of the Cangaceiros), and his NP should be Lampião Cintilante

The picture is just a fancy link to the imgur gallery.

I know Riding isn't a Class skill for Assassins normally, but I went for the FGO way of denoting it as a class skill rather than a personal skill. It's just a personal preference thing.

Also you're right about the third magic thing. I meant the second. It'd be a pain in the ass to change it now though, so it'll have to stay as an eternal mark of my shame.

I'll accept the "Arte Cangaceira," but choosing the archaic spelling of "Lampeão" was an intentional decision on my part.

As for the knife you mentioned earlier, I meant a (faca) peixeira but had forgotten the name. Historical ones are rather thin, from what I've seen. Like a kunai or a tanto-gata.

And if I've disappointed you, an actual Brazilian, then that means I've correctly channeled my inner Nasu

I mean, Fate usually doesn't disappoint me in that aspect, it's just that there's so little Lampião in that servant, the only official cases I can think of are Abigail and Altera, and they are both the worst and the only offenders at this level I think.

Well about Lampião, I am not disapointed or anything about the foreign explanation, I just think that the MO of Ninjas and Cangaceiros are very different. Like, Cangaceiros are not exactly stealthy, they could be very flashy (and in local festivals dedicated to them they are even more flashy and colorful). Idk, if I would compare them with foreign outlaws I'd do that first with Cowboys, or Barbarians, or Mongols, before of comparing them with Ninjas.

    Lampião feels like a stretch.
I'm all for tying the whole meme about Brazil being the place with the biggest number of japanese outside of Japan, but the region where Lampião lived close to none of said japanese men.
I also do not like throwing away the whole aesthetic of the movement. I'm aware that just redoing another Lampião sheet like i did can be boring, so i appreciate the creativity, I just don't think theres enough Lampião flavour in it.

Also, I don't know, I think the whole "if you're dissappointed its just like nasu!" thing feels rather shallow

    - - - Updated - - -

    I mean let's be honest.
The coolest thing about the Cangaço is the aesthetic.
If you're going to make a cangaçeiro and not use the aesthetic whats the point

In this style? Something like 15. There are 11 others that use version 2 of my status screen template (you're seeing version 3 right now)

A further 13 are finished in the text format I've been posting.

Some of them will be posted eventually, but a few are reserved for now.

Damn I'm really bringing people together here

As for ninjas being stealthy, I went for pop culture Ninjas with flashy ninjutsu as opposed to the stealthy information gatherers that ninjas were in real life. I did keep the guerrilla warfare aspect of ninjas though, that was important to my interpretation of this particular historical figure.

Version 1 would have disappointed you further then. That one didn't even perform his speed reloading by his own strength; he was fucked up by Type Mercury instead.

Since I started making these as status screens, I made it my goal to only use 2D art for face claims. If I had found some good art (meaning: fitting my personal requirements for status screens) of a cangaceiro (or even better: of Lampiao himself), believe me I would have used it.

Some great stuff on these last 50 pages, I think Lord Carnarvon and Mizukume are my favorites besides my own Dino.

I mean, maybe it would've been great, I just talked some pages ago about how stretching, syncretizing, and bullshitting give birth to both the best and worst in Servants. It's about how you use them to make the person/character more interesting as a Servant, rather than just replacing them completely with something else.

My personal favorites are probably Armstrong, Santa Blackbeard, Graham Chapman, Frederick VI and your Dinosaur Fascination. (As well as the two you listed)

I mean, I'm not gonna' deny I'd love to hear the reasoning for linking Lampiao to Type-Mercury.

Second sheet today. Thanks for the idea, Koga.

    Class: Caster
    True Name: Herodotus
    Gender: Male
    Alignment: Lawful Neutral

    Strength: D-
    Endurance: D
    Agility: D
    Mana: A
    Luck: A
    Noble Phantasm: EX

    Class Skills
    Territory Creation A
Creation of a Temple, which is superior to a Workshop, becomes possible.

    Personal Skills
    Father of History EX
Herodotus is considered to be the first historian. This Skill grants a plus modifier when attacking Servants whose legends are not grounded in historical fact.

    Eye for Art (History) A
If one happens to see a Noble Phantasm that has certain historical anecdotes, there is a high chance that he might be able to figure out its True Name.

    Pioneer of the Stars EX
The unique Skill given to heroes that became turning points in human history. All difficult voyages and challenges which are considered "impossible" turn into "events that can be realized".

Herodotus is regarded as the Father of History and first historian; therefore, he has this Skill at a very high Rank.

    Noble Phantasms
The Histories “I Write These Things Because They Seem Truth to Me” EX
    Type: Anti-Unit
    Range: 1~50
    Maximum Number of Targets: 1
A crystallization of Herodotus’ Histories. Upon True Name Release, a curse is placed on the target that strips away all embellishment and legend that a Servant amassed after their death.

This Noble Phantasm is pretty much the kiss of death for Servants who are from mythology or whose existences were significantly distorted from historical fact. Servants who are largely grounded in historical fact are largely unaffected by The Histories’ curse.

For instance, a Servant with the Innocent Monster Skill will have that Skill sealed and their bodies will be restored to normal. Servants with Noble Phantasms based on legends that appeared after their deaths, like Vlad III’s Legend of Dracula, will have those Noble Phantasms sealed.

But the effects of the curse only last for a short while, meaning one should not expect this to mean instant victory if the victim of the curse is from the Age of Gods. If the curse wears off while its victim is still fighting Herodotus, they could easily turn the tables on him.

    Lore:
Herodotus was a Greek historian born in Halicarnassus in the Persian Empire. Often referred to as the “Father of History”, he was the first historian known to have broken from Homeric tradition to treat historical subjects as a method of investigation. Specifically, by collecting his materials systematically and critically, and then arranging them into a historiographic narrative.

Although he is regarded as the first historian, Dionysius of Halicarnassus, a literary critic of Augustan Rome, listed seven predecessors to Herodotus. He described their works as simple, unadorned accounts of their own and other cities and people, Greek or foreign, including popular legends, sometimes melodramatic and naïve, often charming; all traits found in Herodotus’ works.

The Histories is the only work which he is known to have produced, a record of his "inquiry" on the origins of the Greco-Persian Wars. It primarily deals with the lives of Croesus, Cyrus, Cambyses, Smerdis, Darius, and Xerxes, and the battles of Marathon, Thermopylae, Artemisium, Salamis, Plataea, and Mycale. However, its many cultural, ethnographical, geographical, historiographical, and other digressions form a defining and essential part of the Histories and contain a wealth of information. Some of his stories are fanciful and others inaccurate, yet he states that he is reporting only what he was told. But, a sizable portion of the information he provided was later confirmed by historians and archaeologists.

The Histories were occasionally criticized in antiquity, but modern historians and philosophers generally take a positive view. Despite the controversy, Herodotus still serves as the primary, and often only, source for events in the Greek world, Persian Empire, and the region generally in the two centuries leading up until his own day.

Despite his historical significance, very little is known about Herodotus’ personal life.

    Personality:
Herodotus is a historian through and through, down to the very core of his entire existence. He detests rumors, particularly those about history, and will more than likely try to disprove them. Another likelihood is that he will try to write a record of the events of the Holy Grail War he is summoned in. He will become infuriated when anyone buys into what he deems historical inaccuracies and proceed to lecture them for it. His wish for the Holy Grail is to reach the Root so that he can write an absolutely true historical record.

    Relationships:
Ritsuka Fujimaru: You are the one who fights to save human history. With the entirety of history incinerated, there is nothing to record but Singularities that will vanish when corrected.

Holy Grail: That wish-granting device? I want to use it to reach the Root of All. Then, I will write a historical record containing the absolute truth.”

Leonidas: “The King of Sparta? the Guardian of the Hot Gates? I have deeply studied the Battle of Thermopylae and I’m honestly impressed.”

Darius III: “So, this is the king who was rival to Alexander the Great. It’s a shame that he has been reduced to such a state where he cannot talk. I would like to hear about his clashes with the King of Conquerors.”

Iskandar: “The King of Conquerors is a most impressive historical figure. I don’t buy his claims to be a son of Zeus, but that doesn’t make unimpressive in the least.”

Nikola Tesla: “I am truly surprised that a man managed to take lightning, something used by the gods, and not only harness its power, but create an entire society based around it. A modern-day Prometheus indeed.”

Any genderbent Servant: “How did history manage to forget something so simple as one’s gender?”

Miyamoto Musashi: “Another dimension, you say? How unusual. That would explain why your gender doesn’t line up with the real Musashi. But then again…”

Hope this turned out better than my Robespierre.
Hm not un interesting but my Herodot will be going a bit in a other direction especially personality wise ,and please explain me how he can attack/how are his direct combat abbilities?
Ps: You havent reacted my reaction on your Robespierre !

    Abigail a shit.
    My honest opinion regarding GO
Its not very good. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that its bad. It offers very little to the Fate franchise in terms of quality - in fact, I'd argue that its content actually diminishes the quality of the franchise as a whole. A lot of its problems can be put down to the 'mobile game' format it uses, but that was a conscious decision on the part of its creators so it can't be used to shuffle off blame. And GO's problems that don't stem from it being a mobile game... I'm being polite by calling it a piece of trash. But... Nasu clearly had a blast writing/making it that I can't quite bring myself to hate it. Loathe it, sure, but not hate. That's too strong of an emotion. Only just, though.

About Abigail i cant say anything because i dont know much about her but i am similar oppinion because i think Attila was/is as Servant a mighty breaker with atleast Achils/Chirons stature and not so a slender girl.

    Saber of Brazil
    Faceclaim

    FC Link
    Servant Class: Saber
    Alternate Classes: Rider
True Name: Duke of Caxias, the Iron Duke
    Alignment: Lawful Good
    Origin: South America (19th century)
    Armament: Sword

    Parameters:
    STR: B
    END: B
    AGI: C
    MANA: D
    LUCK: B
    NP: C

    Skills
    Class Skills:

Magic Resistance - Rank -: A Skill that grants protection against magical effects. Cannot cancel spells, but magic damage is reduced somewhat.
Because he is a modern Heroic Spirit, he has no resistance to magic.

Riding - Rank C: Most vehicles and animals can be handled with above average skill. However, cannot ride the likes of Phantasmal Species such as Monstrous Beasts.
As the one responsible for teaching horsemanship to his emperor, Saber naturally gains an above average skill in Riding. However, as one is from the Age of Man, Phantasmal Species cannot be ridden.

    Personal Skills:

Protector of the Throne - Rank A: A mixed Skill gained from steadfast service to two different Emperors, protecting the throne without fail, even when forced to choose between his ruler and his people. The Skill’s effects vary from individual to individual, representing the Skills used in one’s service, but for Saber, they are Eye of the Mind (True), Charisma and Bravery, displayed at varying ranks.
As a Saber, he is even more effective than he would be in his other classes, being empowered more by his legend rather than his deeds in life.

Military Tactics - Rank C: Tactical knowledge used not for one-on-one combat situations, but for battles where many are mobilized. Bonus modifiers are provided during use of one's own Anti-Army Noble Phantasm or when dealing against an enemy Anti-Army Noble Phantasm.
As a commander who led a long and successful military career, Saber has gained this Skill.

    Noble Phantasms

    Dezembrada:
    Victory Through Three Battles
    Anti-Unit (Self), Rank B

Saber’s trump card of a Noble Phantasm, manifesting as the essence of the act “Dezembrada”, the Deed of December. After executing a daring maneuver, Saber was able to gain decisive victory through three battles.
In short, by fighting the same enemy in three different battles while surviving each one, Saber creates a situation where “victory is certain.” In situations where multiple enemies are faced with the same time, Dezembrada measures the number of times fought separately for each combatant.
However, once Dezembrada activates fully, only Saber’s victory is assured, not his own survival or the death of the enemy. Therefore, it is fully possible for Saber to achieve victory but die by the battle’s end.

    Description
    Likes: Discipline, bravery
Dislikes: Needless violence, those who would sacrifice others for their own gain
Talents: Rising above his limitations, inspiring others
    Natural Enemy: Francisco Solano López

Saber’s true identity is Luís Alves de Lima e Silva, the Iron Duke, though he prefers to be known as the Duke of Caxias.

Caxias is quite serious in demeanour, sometimes almost to the point of being dour. Caxias is also straightforward in his words and actions, and holds his upright nature as a point of pride. His name has become a byword for men of proper conduct, who act without mistrust, doubt or evasion.
Caxias is loyal to a fault, and holds honour, honesty and bravery in high regard. However, as Caxias is also a military commander, he recognizes the necessity of using deception and surprise on the battlefield.
He is moved by his posthumous reputation, even if he doesn’t show it. For him, being made the patron and protector of the army by his beloved Brazil is an honour he feels he ill deserves. Still, the fact that he is remembered and can fight in the Holy Grail War for both his Master and the implicit trust placed upon him by his nation brings him great joy.
He doesn’t enjoy fighting, but will use violence should the situation call for it. In a Holy Grail War, he would draw the line at attacking Masters, and feels that defeating the other Servants is enough. He also bears great resentment for those who would attack innocents or sacrifice the lives of others for their own gain.
Despite being born several centuries after the concept of knights faded into legend, Caxias possesses many qualities that would make him an exemplar of chivalry. It is because of these qualities as well as his legend that he qualifies for the Saber class, despite his modernity.

Caxias takes almost naturally to being a Servant, following his Master’s orders without fail. He will make his protests known should his Master suggest something reprehensible, and in extreme cases will force his Master to use a Command Spell.
He will seek to establish a bond with a righteous Master, whether it be as a loyal Servant or as a steadfast friend, as he was with the Emperors he served. He will even volunteer to teach an inexperienced Master how to defend themselves, teaching them swordsmanship as he did with Dom Pedro II.
His wish to the Holy Grail would be for Brazil's prosperity.

    Lore
Luís Alves de Lima e Silva, better known as the Duke of Caxias, is one of the most famous and celebrated men in Brazil’s history.
Beginning his military career at the age of five, he continued his studies in military school until the The Brazilian War of Independence broke out. In the war against Portugal, he became known for his daring attacks against the Portuguese, his bravery and genius in the battlefield, becoming widely respected by the age of twenty.
He was eventually chosen to be part of the Emperor’s guard for Emperor Dom Pedro I. However, less than ten years into the Emperor’s reign, a rebellion demanding his abdication broke out. Caxias was one of the few siding with the Emperor, even though his father was among the rebels. Caxias was ordered to join the rebels, his Emperor seeing abdication as preferable to bloodshed. Though Caxias disliked his orders, he followed them nonetheless.
While a regent ruled Brazil, Caxias was tasked with tutoring the future Emperor Dom Pedro II in swordsmanship and horsemanship, with both of them coming to be friendly and respectful to one another. In this period, Caxias was also tasked with putting down the rebellions caused by the abdication of Pedro I, earning himself the title of Baron in the process. He became known for being implacable on the battlefield, but also a skilled negotiator who was merciful to his enemies and fair in times of peace.
He was later made Marquis for his masterminding of the Platine War offensive against the dictator of Argentina. Caxias then retired from the battlefield, starting a prosperous career in politics and acting as President of the Council of Ministers.
Caxias was brought out of retirement by the War of the Triple Alliance against Paraguay breaking out. Caxias was appointed commander-in-chief of all allied forces, whereupon he ceased all offensive activities in order to prepare his troops for the war. Once his forces were ready, Caxias managed to attain victory against the Paraguayan forces in three successive battles, aided in part by his daring Pikysyry maneuver, wherein he built a road across the swamps of Paraguay to avoid the enemy’s line of defense and emerge in their army’s rear.
After victory had been achieved, he returned home as a hero and was made Duke for his actions. Caxias then retired from military affairs once and for all, continuing his political career in peace. His deteriorating health eventually confined him to a wheelchair, and he died in 1880.

    Notes
Manifesting as a Saber, the Duke of Caxias is the “legendary” portion of Luis Alves de Lima e Silva, with most of his deeds augmented by two centuries of myths. As a Rider, he would be more grounded in reality and Dezembrada would probably manifest as something more like the Pikysyry maneuver, which allowed said deed to be accomplished.
I hope I’ve done a good enough job with him (description and lore not included - I suck at those after all) given the fact that I only had a couple sources to work with.
