Yes and no - he did move onto the Analytical Engine which he came up with during the process, but making the DE itself was plagued with bad luck and full of false starts and spinning its wheels. He squandered a ton of money before ever moving onto the Analytical Engine.

I probably phrased it wrong but it had a lot of "but wait", "let's try this," etc. even beforehand.

...He also wrote a whole chapter in his autobiography about the evils of street musicians waking him up at 6 am. Babbage was interestingly cantankerous.

Teach is the best disgusting otaku ever. His one sided thing for Drake is kind of precious: it slipped from friend turned mortal enemy (Jonathan and Dio), to rival turned best friend (Joseph and Caesar), to perfect compliments (tomato and mozzarella in a Caprese salad). Drake just wants to hang him because he's a creepy bastard. And Drake realizes she's evil and plays it up, while Teach thinks he's an honorable man but is off his fucking rocker.
