    I wanted to put []/Saber Shiki somewhere here but she doesn't quite fit in any of the categories. There are also a bunch of other ones like Caren or Kohaku who also don't quite fit for me.

    Best girl cannot be determined by arbitrary qualities like attractiveness or badassitude. Best girl is a conglomeration of all her aspects: Her likes and dislikes, her passions and grudges, her strengths and weaknesses, what she's done and what she wishes she had done. Marie and Jeanne are cute, but they just haven't done enough to deserve the title of "Best Girl" yet.
