It always bothers me how incongruous Nitocris' character is with her backstory. She even talks about it directly in her interlude but it literally seems like it's another person's history. No part of it fits with how she's portrayed.

Her powers/NP are a bit out of whack, but she's not that incongruous otherwise, she's a Pharaoh with a self-esteem problem due to being used as a pawn for too long. They could have chosen to portray her differently if they focused more on different aspects of her myth (like how in her interlude she alludes to the men having aspersions about her body, or her hatred while she was patiently preparing her revenge for years) but tbh I'm glad they decided to focus on her regrets and uncertainty afterwards (which led her to suicide) instead. We have an abundance of tragic revenge stories to go around, and who knows, maybe they're saving an Avenger Nitocris somewhere for later use.

She's just too bubbly, earnest and clumsy. I like her, but I just can't believe that person can be as cunning, cruel and vengeful as she supposedly was.
Or on the flipside, the tragedy & despair she experienced was such that it actually turned someone as bubbly & earnest as her into a cunning, cruel and vengeful person...a woman scorned & all that.
Which would be interesting in its own way.

After checking today's chapter, my reaction: aaaaaawwwww... wait, so that's the meaning behind Nefertari's(/Ozy's final art in GO) flower!!!
Nefertem, yeah I dig it, great choice
For context: during the chapter Nito is doing Mash hair, then she puts the same flower Nefertari has on her and wishes Mash for Nefertem's protection (is a super cute moment)
Also, Nito's chapter is pretty much wrap up, wonder who's next?
