    You're not alone. I just hadn't grasped that Warcraft was primarily a tragedy. Now of course, I love the undead! (Not in the way the necromancer says he does if you click him enough though.)
    Although to be fair, the books suck and I refuse to consider any of WoW canon except BC and WotLK until Blizzard just Makes Warcraft IV already! All the no-name VAs from III were better than the funimation VAs too. They sounded unique. And Mal'Ganis, though him being alive was a great twist (and MUST forshadow that Arthas is going to come back at some point), his voice in III was so much better than it is in WoW.
