i understand that, it just means if they are in deep water they can't stay in same place or else they start waddling badly and need to move agan or they sink

I'm not particularly amazing at it, but after having had to do a test involving wearing a flight suit and boots and swimming 1 mile without stopping at any point using only half-stroke, breaststroke, or "American crawl" which is basically what the military calls the freestyle stroke olympic swimmers use, I'd say I'm at least above average.

I was a good swimmer until that time I nearly drowned myself through sheer stubbornness. Since then I've barely swam.
