Since the eighties, definitely. Watch any movie or tv from then and see all the shoulder pads and polyester suits.

And yes fashion changes a whole lot. Especially in a trend-obsessed country like Japan.

Emiya's stats are too damn low. I now Nasu was trying to hammer in that he's not a high tier Servant but he went way too far...I mean his stats are lower than True Assassin who he blatantly outperformed.

Yeah TA's are weird, I mean there basically identical to Cu's for everything except for NP.

Considering TA's selfmodification skill and eating Cu's heart, them having the same stats makes sense.
I always thought that was because he ate Cu's heart for strength, but then GO came out and it turns out that was his natural stats
From the look across all the Servants, from what I see even the ones who have terrible stats would at least have an A amongst all the rest those Cs and Ds. If they don't even have that they tend to get some plus's.
Also wasn't this how Nasu says he distributes the stats from an interview if I remember.

Yeah that's what I think too. It was just weird when I was comparing his to King Hassan and they were basically equal or greater than his with the exception of endurance.
