It would be easier to demonstrate, place your tongue in the "L" position (as in touching the roof of your mouth just behind your upper incisors) and then make a voiceless breathing sound.

Further searching leads me to something between "Hlamrei" or "Thlamrei". I guess my best recourse is to make sure there are no irate Welshmen around if I ever happen to discuss King Arthur with someone.

From off the top of my head, Artoria's horse is a good example - "Llamrei".

In Fate/Grand Order it's written as "ラムレイ". Obviously whoever did that saw the l's and just wrote it as if it were the same in English when in fact "Ll" is a digraph in Welsh that creates its own unique sound, that of a voiceless alveolar lateral fricative one. As a result, Llamrei should have been something closer to "スァムレイ". Double consonants are always funny things.

There are other examples such as "Spriggan" but like I said it's not huge deal, just something that crops up from time to time and not many would notice or care.

No. I don't know where "Elkidu" came from but regardless it's not the same problem as Llamrei since that involves English and Welsh both using the Latin alphabet but having phonetic differences which the people at TM didn't seem to realise.

Looking around the web, Elkidu seems to just be a TM thing as I can't see anywhere else in JPN using it. Maybe it was a creative choice, maybe a typo that ended up sticking, who knows.

Erukidu is just Nasu literally misspelling it because it's not even the commonly accepted form of it in katakana and last I checked not even the JP side knew why the hell it was like that.

It's Nasu's attempt to spell the �� in �������� with the Akkadian/Semitic spelling (El) instead of the Sumerian spelling.
